Murph’s Baclofen (or should that be BacloFUN) diary

Ukblonde;1075305 wrote: Whilst I do agree with the Stickies poll, I don't see how a Baclofen specific forum will make a difference apart from to simply transplant the same Baclofen threads over into another section.
The point of the new forum would be that it would be possible to divide the bac stuff into forums into different forums. There could be a forum where people just talk about side effects, and one where people could just keep up with each other, and one where all the research stuff is kept, and forums for issues besides AL. Right now on that site there are categories for depression, anxiety, phobias, etc.

The problem I see with that is that, to me, the meds forum here is as much about connecting with people as it about trying to figure out baclofen. It's been incredibly important to me to be able to do that. If people are given free rein to really talk to each other, the categories are going to degrade, and the people who want to keep the categories separate are going to be unhappy. I don't know if the new forum is going to work, and in its present forum, it's not some place I could call home, but there is not much participation there yet. its very new and evolving.

The other problem that I see is that people from the general discussion areas who are not finding what they need tend to eventually find their way to the meds forum. That's how I learned about baclofen was coming from general discussion to the meds forum. How did you discover baclofen being used in this way? The new baclofen forum is not going to have that. In a Google search, much of what I look for regarding AL and baclofen comes up with MWO threads because there has already been so much discussion about it here. The new forum is not going to have that either.

Anyway, this is the new forum:

    Baclofen Forum

And discussion like this should probably be moved to Anon's thread, since he is the one endeavoring to put the new forum together and really wants people suggestions as to what they would like to see. His thread is here:

I know if that was a rule, I wouldn't be here.
I wouldn't either. I'd be in bed. or somewhere. Naked.

Murphyx;1075481 wrote: As it turns out, the mere promise of vacuuming the house works just as well. Thanks for the tip.

This is the most compelling and profound research I have found thus far on mwo. I can't wait to share it with my husband.
come to think of it, though, it doesn't matter. Vaccuuming is completely unnecessary at this point. Baclofen does the job and he's taken to sleeping on the far side of the bed on some nights.
      :H:H:H
      Thanks peeps. Needed the laugh.
Which we will be able to find, eventually, on Balofen Forum. It'll evolve just as mwo has. im not so humble but definitely hungover opinion.

Perhaps I should hop on over there because my angels and goddesses really need help! The former because they have been relegated to the land of folklore, along with shape-shifting seal people and goblins (except, of course, for the ones that sprinkle fairy dust on psychic radishes and the flesh and blood angels here). The latter because they have been banished to the land of ancient myths, right along with magic girdles and cyclops.

The demotion has caused a mass identity crisis for them and is wreaking Tartarus on their self-esteem. It's a heartbreaking to watch downward spiral of their storied souls. :upset:

As a man I have to say I find your attitude extremely upsetting. Men aren't here to be trained. We're not here to perform at your whim. We're not just pieces of meat to be used and abused...OK, that's a lie, we actually enjoy that rather a lot.

Well obviously not, men don't do housework. Do they? Oh, that just doesn't seem right.

Smurph, your posts take on a whole new mean-ing with that solid frown on your avi.

Also, I'd be bummed about the special bac society because I no longer belong, bac is not part of my protocol and I don't want to go to the regular forum, it's not as fun.

Tracy, Red, LOLOLOL. Funniest stuff eva.

Gotta go, Lorena just called and wants to go harvest some meat for sandwich making later on.

                  FUCKING HI-LARIOUS

Here I go taking myself all seriously and spouting all this deep shit on my own thread and reading all these thoughtful things on other threads and thinking, thinking thinking.

UGH! FUCKING GET OVER IT WOMAN (Ne, me. Not you! lol)

And then I read Low's date thread. Then I read the AA SEs thread. And pony's comment. (that's my nickname for seethepony. From the deep kid on the Outsiders. ftr.)

I didn't know where to express my glee and ebullient laugh out loud laughter and I remembered dear Murph's thread...
Where all things fun and funky happen.

                    Red, All,
Moms on Bac? I hope KT is okay, totally out of character. I will send a PM and get that thread started again here shortly.

I am still Bac! I had a bad weekend but all is going to be okay. Se's are horrendous but being sober is better...still!
Regardless, Murphy's thread is, and for a long time, will be one of my morning routines.
Not really "Murphys" thread, but OUR thread!ointup:

                    Bruun - Smurphy...LOVE IT!

                    Love you all,

                    Lady:l

Coalfire, the whole BDSM thing seems a bit kinky, but shit yeah, I'm up for it.

Bruun, I've changed the avatar...less frowny.
I had a teacher who used to call me Smurf and one of my sisters Smurfette. He was odd. He had a Hitler moustache and used to goose-step around class.

Lady, you can take ownership of the thread if you wish, just so long as I can pop in now and again to make outrageously sexist remarks. I find them funny but Mrs Murph does not. I can't say these things at home because there's only so many punches to the back of the head I can take before my brain becomes so damaged I turn in to a ... well a woman I suppose. :H

Considering your sexist and chauvenistic it is very amazing that the woman flock to your thread in droves. What do you have to say about that Mr Smurphy? Either we all like self flagellation or you must be funny as hell! The handsome avatar must help too. :H

Sorry about your childhood trauma with the goosestepping monster teacher. I'll try not to call you Smurf anymore.
