Here's the thing.
It's kind of fun and funny to watch the train wreck coming, right? The repartee, the comebacks and zingers. The cleverness.

And then the condescension descends to new lows and suddenly everyone and everything that I hold dear is under attack.

I won't sit idly by. I can't participate. It's a conundrum.

Rather than hearing apologies from people off of this public place about how sorry they are, or finding posts deleted because people realize just how egregiously outrageous they have been why don't we just cut to the chase and call it a day. I have been guilty of all of the above so I'll start.

hmmm. come to think of it, I've got nothing. No apologies, no deep thoughts. I don't want to get pissed off (meaning angry, not drunk) again, because frankly it might just be the final nail in the mother-fucking coffin.

I would respectfully request that if you have no interest in what we are discussing in these particular threads, that perhaps it isn't the right place to post. I would also respectfully request that the rest of us just ignore it. Not telling anyone what to do or say.

I have received more than one plaintive/outraged/confused or just plain exasperated message off of the boards about this stuff... I know of a couple of people that aren't with us any more. I hate to over react, and wish I had a sense of humor to handle this... But I don't. I'll leave that up to the ones who do and can.

But if bac users are going to play and have a place in MWO we have to have a place to do all that and more. From what I can tell there are several posters who are in the middle of every fray and instigate at every pass. I'm not referring to Murphy. Most of those posters are the same person (:H) and seem to be quiet atm.

Let's keep it that way, shall we?

Sadly, I had to find something else to be offended and appalled by. I'm looking. The neighbors are quiet. The dog is perfect. I'm home alone. I know! I'll turn on the news. Apparently my state has done something really progressive like cancel the funding for public television. We all know how dangerous and subversive Sesame Street and the MacNeil-Lehrer hour are. so nothing there to be upset about... I'll keep looking and report bac.

I agree with everything you say Ne, and I know I have partaken in some VERY ordinary posts here whilst under the influence of the demon drink! It is demeaning to everybody.
I think its time to put this rubbish to bed.

Since we are on the meds thread, the Campral I have been taking for three months now seems to be losing its efficacy and am now pondering my next step. I am still scared stiff of Baclofen (whether that is totally unfounded or not (no discussion please) that is how I feel atm. I am seriously considering Naltrexone along with my counselling etc etc.

Murph, I really don't want to carry on with this. I think you know the reason it started in the first place. So let's call it quits ok? Thanks for your thoughful posts Ne....
