@ Murph: dude brief news. I think i hit the switching point at 180. Day 6 of non drinking. Little craving, the habit of course kicks in and i miss the buzz. Went to bars to challenge me, night clubs, have wine and vodka at home. no temptation. Il ne faut pas vendre la peau de l'ours avant de l'avoir tue (you should sell the bear's skin before killing it) but it seems to be a mirale. Last boring question: I still have a permanent sense of being edgy a bit like after taking coc... did you have the same. I have been smoking like crazy (2-3 times more than normal). Anyway I wanted to thank you. Your story gave me hope (i was afraid to go on any other blog in case it was not working in some other people) - My doctor gave me a few more moths left last week..... Anyway thank you.

for your 2 problems:
- loosing weight. Do not go into this bs. americans are usally neirdy where everything has to be technical. a soldier is a POW. A cafe creme when you go to Starbucks becomes a nuclear fomula. A guy sent you a list of curves, and data that sounded chinese (i live in china): few things : Spining (biking in group at the gym - amazing and very addictive) - Hot yoga - I lost 10 kg. Although I drink 2-3 bottles of wine every day i have the body of a bloody coc head rock star. Eat brown rice.
- Smoking: gonna go ans see a chinsese doc next week. will tell you if it works.

Fuck. I mean FUCK!!!!! that's some good news. Congratulations.

It's an amazing feeling isn't it? A bar full of booze, a bottle at home and suddenly it means nothing to you. But as you say, the habit remains. The switch, the indifference is one step, a huge step, but you have to beat the triggers of habit. Work on them. Clearly identify them and find ways of either avoiding them or ignoring them. It may not take long, maybe just a few repetitions and the triggers will melt away.

The edgy feeling may be a little alcohol withdrawal? Baclofen will stop it becoming full blown. You're 6 days AF now, so you've passed that risk anyway.

If I was you I would go up another dose just to put to bed any possibility of any lingering, slumbering cravings that might wake up. Also, it might help create a more bac-happy, relaxed Frenchy, one who in social situations no longer appears to exude Gallic superiority. And you're not working at the moment, so why not? But...

Simply because I think I may have over-stepped the mark (as usual) by posting those pics on this forum. I can only guess how many of the 82 people who have so far read this thread since I posted them, have reported that post to Admin. They have me on their radar and won?t need much more of a push (trust me, I know. I?ve been kicked off more forums than anyone else). I suspect I have been having forum boundary issues of late and must start to re-embrace my inner, anal Englishman. Why do we say forums? It really should be fora, but I?d never bring it up because it would sound awfully pedantic.

Just ftr, I suspect that at night, when she goes home, she removes her fake outer face (by violently ripping it down from her scalp) and reveals her true alien countenance. She has an evil plan that will enslave all humanity. Hopefully the plan includes having to do sweaty things with her. In which case it's fine by me.

Everybody I know loathes her and wishes she would run for president in 2012 so that our comedians would have some juicy material. welcome! sound's like you're doing great. i hope your doc will keep prescribing bac once s/he sees how well it's doing for you. my smoking, too, has gone through the roof. i am at 130 mg (as of yesterday), and i, like you, have a much reduced craving, but last night i had a few beers (the habit thing). didn't enjoy them much, didn't NEED them, and i'm so glad it wasn'nt vodka. i met a friend in the liquor store and wasn't even tempted to buy my former-usual potion. now that's progress!

murph, rowing is my latest idea for exercise. it's a full-body workout, builds muscle AND is aerobic, and there's NO impact, of especial concern for someone who is overweight.
