Like the new siggy Murph. Brilliant. So true and so relevant in so many ways.

My dinner last night with grandma was a disaster. I invited gay boyfriend. That is okay. He's great with older people and grandma knows and likes him, in spite of his gayness and his unfortunate dyed-blonde mohawk. (really. He's much too old. A boy oughta know when to call it, you know? But I understand.)
Unfortunately he brought his oldest, closest, dearest friend. She's a mess. Inelegant, rude, no manners to speak of. Seems to be not very bright, either, at first glance. I like her, a lot. But I don't think grandma could see past the neck tattoos. Very unfortunate, the whole situation.
Then there was a storm, then the fireworks started in the rain. It was lovely, but grandma got wet. Not so good.
There was more. But I don't care...
Are we going to have a brawl? You do realize that's the intent. Nothing else. Will only be able to engage if engaged. That would be really unfortunate. Much as I wanted to tell gay boyfriend's girlfriend that she was being boorish and insensitive, that really would've made the whole situation worse. AHA! There's the point I was looking for.

Ne, yeah I know and as much as I like that sort of thing I also know I really oughtn't. So I shan't.

RedH, 5HTP is worth the risk, it's absolutely brilliant. I've actually been sleeping through to the 6:15 alarm for the last few days. This is the first time since January I've needed an alarm clock. A few wet floors or even duvets are well worth the extra sleep.

Murph thanks so much for helping me with the avatar thing. You're brilliant! I on the other hand am not brilliant. I did not accurately calculate how long my bac would last and will probably run out before my next shipment comes. I have drastically cut back over the last day or two, but I'm wondering how quickly I can titrate up once the bac comes. Any thoughts?

Curly, I believe you started on bac in April, so you are now in the territory of withdrawal if you cut too much too quickly. How long before your next shipment arrives?

I've looked through your posts but I can't see what dose you are on, or rather were on before you titrated down. What was it and what have you now gone down to?

Glad to see you welcome me back with so much compassion mate. Sorry to be so much a problem to you. You just keep availing yourself to seeing a person in trouble as an absoute travesty. You were still the one who called me a half wit, told me to fuck off, and told me I didn't know what i was talking about. Not the sort of person who is really interested about the way people get sober. Keep it up murph. I will. I actually care about people mate. What would be brilliant ,is people who challenge your attitude. You are so much what I don't need here. You really are not a person I would turn to in trouble (unless of course I was taking baclofen).

Murph, I was at 210 mg a few days ago when I realized I was going to run out. I took 80 mg today and I have about 30 tablets left ((10 mg). I expect the shipment any day now. I used a different company this time and it is much slower than the last one.

Hmmm. Where in the world are you Curly? I'm thinking you need an emergency re-supply. I'd probably go to 50, so you've 6 days, and hope you live next door to a fellow baclofenator. In future you probably want to have a couple of shipments in reserve.

Going back up shouldn't present any issues, so there's that to be grateful for.

Curly, how do you know the shipment will arrive any day? Do you have tracking information or are you just basing it on your previous orders. If its the latter, you can't trust that. As Bleep says, 50mg/day will give you 6 days. That would probably be long enough to get an expedited delivery from one of the suppliers. If you're going on the consignment number that you're using to track the shipment through the carriers website, then that's not an issue.

As far as going back up is concerned, I wouldn't hang about: immediately up to 100, and then 30 to 50mg increases every 2 or 3 days (if you feel comfortable doing that) until you're back to 210. I wouldn't go straight back to 210; that could really knock you sideways. This is just my opinion based on nothing more than the crazy thoughts of a damaged brain and if you should in fact die from following my advice, I can not be held responsible.

How were you doing on 210 btw? Cravings wise. Also, has there been a huge difference in cravings between then and the 80mg you're down to now?

Do I remember you saying you were in New York? Forgive me if I've got that wrong, but wherever you are it might be a good idea to do a shout out to any other baclofen users in your area who might come to the rescue if the worse should come to the worse and you run out before the new supply arrives.

Keep us updated, because I'm just going to worry now.
