      Bruun's Titting UP

Hi Pete! Don't cry, DG still loves you.

DG, great to see you! Good for you on the sugar! I've been very very bad and am continuing to be bad because I start my diet Wednesday. No sugar at all. And your mind is in the gutter, again! Are you carrying the banner in Brenda's stead?

On GF beef, I still don't like it. Beef. I like ground bison though, its SO MUCH BETTER than beef but more $$$. Thank goodness I can find it here and there. Sometimes. I wish I lived near a bison farm, but anything I buy must be shipped a thousand miles to me. That's expensive too.

Ne, that's so sad about the son, which must be your nephew, who still doesn't know. So similar to my situation, the son was at the funeral though, and just looked a little shell shocked. He had met NONE of the family, no aunts/uncles nada. His great grandmother was drinking him in, he looked like her son, and she'd never seen him. Seeing her with him I thought she looked like she was reaching into him trying to pull out bits of her son, maybe find him in there. :upset:

Ne, for your digestion, try using papaya enzymes and probiotics. If you're feeling bad after you eat, you're having trouble digesting for some reason or you're allergic to something you ate. If its the former, you can use my recommendations and see if it works. The papaya enzymes are cheap and really help me. Also your take on farming = mine! And I think we've got plenty of company in that.

Hi Is, Hi Redhead, I read your thread but didn't have anything to add but thought I'd say hellooooo! But now that I'm thinking about it, I should have said I'm glad you have a renter, hope you don't have to go through the foreclosure.

Hang in there Lushy! I'm rooting for you.

And Ru, you too. And Brenda, hope you're good! You've been much more quiet since you came out that you're not a chick!

        Hey all!

        Happy Birthday Is!

My mom had an MRI Friday and we will get the results today. I should have said tumor rather than cancer. We don't use the "C" word.
Mom is 74. She has had 2 open skull surgeries, chemo, radiation, up through the nose surgery etc....but it keeps coming back. She has lost sight in one eye (optic nerve) and takes medication for the damage to her pituitary gland.
She has said no more. She has been fighting this for about 3 years. She is very strong as a woman and in her faith.
She's so thin and frail it makes me sad. She was the enforcer to us as kids; "wait until your mom hears" not my dad. He passed from a stroke in 1991. She always ran the roost.
        No more tears!

I can't follow your diets and stuff but geez the sugar and carb cravings will not go away!

        Join the campfire everyone!

        Love you guys,
        LL:l

And since Terry and Otter are swearing what are we gonna do about these fuckin' spammers?!

                Bruun's Titting UP

I was doing a drive by and then I thought I better stop in for a quickie.

A very happy belated birthday to the lovely Isolde!

That Daddy Cool song is hilarious, SP! I can totally see Lifer dancing like that. I have a Costco membership. I guess you've again given me a tip. The ground beef is even cheaper there than TJs. Thanks again!

RudyB, I never visited your thread since you last posted. I want you to know, that you're in my thoughts (and prayers) all the time. I am sending you the most postive energy imaginable. I love and miss you, and am sad you can't be here more. (even though I shouldn't be here either).

Nice to see you, DG. My parts are all fixed up, thank you. DG, would you PM me where you get your meat? I do have a freezer in my basement that I can store food in. I've been wanting to buy a cow for a while.

Ne, you're a Libra. Maybe that's why you say you're done and then you're not. We have a hard time making decisions. Or maybe I'm just projecting...:H

LL, again, I'm sorry to hear about all this. I am sending you positive energy too. To deal with what's happening to your mom, and to deal with your sugar cravings!

Bruun, last but never ever least. Thanks for the tip on the pre/probiotics. I haven't yet picked anything up. I figure I'm still on antibiotics, so I'll kill off anything I drink. I will be soon, though. I'm not sure what is the best drink at this point. Does kombucha have more probiotics than kefir or vice versa? I could always do a pill too.

Nah, the renter will only be here for a couple of months. The house isn't worth keeping. It's 80K underwater. I would be trapped here forever before the market would bounce back enough that I'd have equity to sell. I'm accepting it, but thanks for thinking of me anyway.

Regarding effed up families. A number of years ago, I called to say Merry Christmas to my dad's parents, my other set of grandparents, who are still alive. I couldn't be there, and there was a family thing going on that they'd invited me to (I stay close to them too). My grandma asked me if I wanted to say Hello to my half brother, we'll call him J. I said, I'd love to. He got on the phone (he's 15 now, so he was maybe 9 or 10) and I said Hi. He said, who is this? I said this is Redhead, your sister. He paused, held the phone out, and then said to the room also containing my father and stepmother "I have a sister?" I guess I wasn't talked about much in the household. :H Yes, I can laugh about it now, but I wasn't laughing then...believe me! My grandparents had no idea until that moment how truly disturbing the situation was. Anyhoo, just thought I'd contribute. He knows I exist now, and we've even had a couple of conversations. I'm sure it'll be better when he's older.

Alright, I've got to hit the sack. I plan on an uninterrupted 6 hours tonight. And that wasn't a quickie, was it?

I appreciate the opening, Red, but I haven't developed Lifer's ability to push the envelope and yet not go too far as to offend everyone. In time

Just a quick howdy, from me this morning.
I ate a bowl of ice cream last night and I feel like yucky this morning. It could also be the bac, though. And I might be PMSing. Ah, so many choices to pick for blame.

Oh, and it isn't an upset stomach, B. I crash after I eat. Meaning my energy level. Every time. It's weird and I think related to a physical chemical imbalance in terms of the types of food I'm eating. Maybe? Input would be appreciated.
I'm going to really cut out wheat today. I'm not eager for the challenge. I was going to go casein free, like Redh's son, but I'm not ready to give up cheese and greek yogurt for protein. So gluten it is. And frankly that and sugar is way more than enough to tackle.
Will l-Glut help with the carb craving, do you think?

I started last week, DG and I'm already feeling the pain. ugh. Studying parasites. really. Which I am off to do now! (If I suddenly become convinced that I am (or a loved one is) carrying around some microscopic worm, you'll know why!)
                        :l everybody!

You could try a low starch diet, or at least try avoiding starchy foods as much as possible. The only good thing about starchy food is that they taste nice and you can feed yourself easily with them for a small amount of money. I tried it for a while, and felt great. I lost loads of weight as well.

Hello everyone else, by the way.

I took the day off. So much on my mind. I think I will go to the thrift market and walk around.
Buy some shit I don't need and avoid crying. Maybe a snow globe? You shake it up and all the snow is a wonder until it settles and reality checks in. Reality always checks in.
