    Bruun's Titting UP

    ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Woohoo! Thanks Is! Hard not to go crazy, I'll do my best! Don't know why you're getting BONK Bruun??

Thanks DG, glad it worked for you. I don't think I could have done it without baclofen.

Bruun, I've been hoping and praying some other guy would step up to the plate, but it seems you've been left hanging, so here goes...

Currently, I would be delighted with that. Playing with my dose has bought back the side effect that I hated on the way up. I know that's not what you're after though. Second prize is, I guess, is that it should be enough, provided there is enough going on the other times to keep everyone happy. By goings on, I just mean general flirtation and fun, nothing actually sexual. Provided you are both happy, you'll generally find a level that pleases you both. I suppose it's a question of ?.

First prize is finding someone who rocks your world enough that it's not enough for you.

Jesus, I sound a bit like Oprah's Dr Phil, I have to stop before I vomit!

Bruun, I hear ya. I remember when my husband and I got married - I had to start avoiding him. I would walk around the circumference of a room to avoid getting within "grabbing" distance. I told him once, "Our marriage license does not equate to an open license on my body!" That line is a joke to us now, but back then . . .

Isolde, I adore allrecipes.com! What a great site. I've been trying to think about what sounds good for dinner, salmon sounds like the ticket. I also posted on my thread that I was going to try green smoothies to have something substantial to take with each dose (tummy settling stuff). I just have a regular blender though. I'll have to see if frozen bananas will work.

DG - WOW, what a life-changing transformation. It's wonderful. You are such an inspiration.

Sounds very hard to drink! Lots of classy ingredients. I followed the link to parsley, and was disappointed to note that nobody had reviewed it. I'm quite tempted to give it a review... Check there later.

EDIT: Bah, you have to log in, can't be bothered.

Hi Bruun and friends!! So many posts I want to comment on but am low energy today. Long and busy day. ALL GOOD - beats the shit out of the old days. BUT...am ready to call it a day and lounge out with some mindless TV and then sleep. Not that American Idol is "mindless TV" right? It's IMPORTANT TV!! Anyone else watching this year?

Coalfire, the Sobriety Tart. I love that! :h:H

Grabassing husbands. Don't get me started.

Bruun, if I were starting over in the man department here at 29(52) I would definitely go Cougar.

Hope you are having a fabulous day!!! Nighty night all!

Hey Bruun! Where are ya? How are ya? Been crazy busy the last couple of days and now Mr. Doggy is sick. I don't have children, but there are times I have a child.

Just wanted you to know I'm thinkin' about you.

Thanks DG, I'm following you around the threads too. Good luck with the child, I know how that can be!

Update: AF tonight, Sat nite. Only 1 beer Fri nite. I found having a pre diet eclair and fettuccini made me too full to pour any thing addition down the gullet. Feel like puking and not from AL. Now my body is confused as all hell. I haven't had this kind of food in years. I couldn't believe how good...

Mmmmmm an eclair and a big bowl of pasta sounds like a decent appetizer to me.

I tried greening up my usual smoothie yesterday. Normally I make a delicious, but not low calorie, combo of milk, banana, mango and strawberry. I added spinach, kale and tomato and almost puked my ring. I do not recommend it.

Murph, the tomato probably was what set it off. I have found that I can add a TON of spinach to my fruit smoothies without altering the taste much. Kale has a stronger flavor so I'll only add a leaf or two. But tomato? I'd pass on the tomato in the fruit smoothie. Haha

                        Bruun's Titting UP

Hey Bruun! Good for you an AFness Saturday and only 1 Friday. Eating regularly helped me a lot when I first quit drinking. Actually, it still helps me as I think my blood sugars do crazy things. And I was NOTORIOUS for "liquid meals" (not just dinner, sadly) back in the day. I never felt like drinking nearly as much if I had a decent meal in me. So....what did I do? Drink myself stupid and then eat crap. No wonder I weighed what I did.

Anyway....eclair and fettucine sounds like a fabulous yummy treat to me!!!!!

Tomato in fruit smoothie does NOT sound yummy however!!!

Kale. I was watching a show on cooking channel yesterday and it featured kale in a way I never thought about. Oven roasted until crispy, and then eaten like chips (i.e. dipped in something good) It was just roasted in a 425 degree oven sprayed with olive oil and sprinkled with salt. That looked good. So now I'm wondering if Kale has to be replanted every year, or if the kale I grew last year will come back when the weather gets warm? (sorry for the novice gardening questions!!!)

How is your day going today? I'm about to go fix some lunch and then get busy packing away some winter clothes and getting out some spring clothes. We'll see how far I get before I either end up back here, or in front of something on TV. (oh well - it is Sunday, right???) I make some "clean out the fridge" vegetable soup yesterday. It's calling my name. I guess the only reason it's not a clean the fridge smoothie is that I haven't blended it. (yet)

Take care bruun!!! So happy for you on your progress with shithead Al.

Kale chips are WONDERFUL! I've made them several times. I don't know if I'd go so high as 425, though--they burn really fast. I've never gone above 350. They are addictive as potato chips. Easy to go overboard with the salt.

I actually prefer them when they're a little more substantial. Here's a good recipe for some "heavier" kale chips. They're delicious.

DG, I don't know that the kale will come back, but it may reseed. I've never had kale, or collard greens, mustard greens, etc. Trucker says that collard greens cooked with ham hocks is a wonderful home-style southern dish. Might have to try it.

Murph, I tried making my first green smoothie just yesterday. It was very simple, bananas, an orange and romaine lettuce, but the end result had a kind of bitter after taste. I brought a glass to my husband (sometimes I bring him sandwiches too). He took a sip, made a face and then asked, "What's in this?" I started listing ingredients in order of the tastiest, "Bananas, an orange . . ." Whereupon he interrupted, "And lawn clippings?" I am considering the green smoothie experiment to be an utter failure. I think Bruun's fettuccine and eclair dinner sounds much better!

                                yummy. I love kale crisps.

Stick with spinach, T. It's yummy. and a super food. romaine? not so sure about that.

Tomatoes have NO PLACE in a drink. Except the really good one--bloodys. (or virgin in my case. the drink. not the Ne. obviously.)
