    Bruun's Titting UP

All's well. Thanks for the support Ne, DG, bleep, Ig, Red - I can't tell you how good it made me feel to see you all chiming in to support my sobriety.

    I didn't cave.

Good idea about the handy list of things to do. Problem is I can't seem to motivate to do much. I have TONS of laundry and organizing to do as well as cleaning out the freezer is high on my need-to-do list but I have nothing FUN! I got on the treadmill for a few minutes to try and work out the angst. That wasn't particularly fun either. I have a very boring life. I never had time outside of work and gym to develop any hobbies except for going out partying or to dinner. TV is becoming too big a part of my life and it's boring in massive quantities. I can't sit there all night after sitting in front of the computer all day. AG!

    Anyways, thanks again!!! :l:l:l:l:l

Blah - having lists of things to do sucks. Just find one fun thing and do it for a bit, then find another. TV is worse than booze, and they both suck your soul. As to what you CAN do, who knows? That's where all our advice is a bit futile. Rudy will suggest going for a row, I'd rather go on a binge, for example. It's up to you Bruun, to find out what you like doing, and it's tricky if you've never done it. So you're going to have to do lots of stuff, briefly, and see if anything sticks. On the plus side, it's all very organised where you are, and there are groups that meet to do everything, so get busy!

Don't turn the TV on ever again, and your life will be better for it.

Well done, enormously well done, on not caving!

You're right on about the TV, I didn't have one for a couple of years and it was good. Now I'm an addict with the TV! Last night I watched Gene Simmons Family Jewels! LOL

You know what helped me alot with the control over drinkin (I think) is I stopped with all the panic fear thinking. Ig's thread is reminding me of it. I'm sure the gabapentin helped too - Ig, if you're reading this, its instant mood elevator. Compared to anti depressants that is. May take a couple days but not a couple weeks. I tried stopping the panic fear money thinking alot lot lot but couldn't conquer it until I added gabapentin. I'm not cured but I'm more in control and happier. I'm going to post this on your thread right now just in case.

I like coloring mandalas. Got a couple of books/coloring books from amazon but you can print all kinds of them out on the net. I'm all thumbs when it comes to art, so that suits me. Artistic, but relatively easy.

I visited a lot of local attractions that I had never seen. Local museums, etc.

I love my volunteer work. (although that is scheduled in advance for me - not a spur of the moment thing)

Take your dog for a walk.

          Fly a kite. (very fun!)

Google "fun things to do" and see what comes up.

All I ever did for years was sit on my ass and drink when I wasn't working. So it was a real challenge figuring out what to do with myself. There is all kinds of stuff if we look for it. FUN stuff. Not chores!

The AF dailies voted and my worm's name is "Horny." :H

            Thanks DG and Horny,

What a mandala? I thought it was a plant, but upon googling it appears it means circle in Sanskrit. I had never heard of this before. Interesting!

Great list, DG and thanks. Mandalas look fun for the unartistic. volunteer for the altruistic and culture for the an...an...am... anthropomorphic? hmmm. I'm at a loss.

Congrats, Bruun. That's great news, and it feels gooooooood, doesn't it? Without all the feckin SEs.

I love coloring mandalas! I spread out my colored pencils and turn on some soothing music. I started with this book. Amazon.com: Coloring Mandalas 1 (9781570625831): Susanne F. Fincher: Books

I've been too busy this summer to do much coloring but will take it up again when the garden / yard / rental dump / wind down. You might like it!

How are you otherwise today? Good I hope!

Horny's friends were in my big garden. :upset: Bleep, I manned up and dealt with them. I put on my gloves. Then I couldn't bring myself to touch them so I ran back to the house for some kitchen tongs. :H Mr. Doggy just took my container full of horny worms and put ether on 'em. Take that worms!

Those worms leave huge poops. Horny Turds I guess.

Good morning Bruun! Well, I don't think it's morning yet where you are. Just getting an early start. What are you up to for the weekend?

Those worms are hard to find, they match the plants so well! I still can't get over that your husband gassed them with ether! Why not just gas all the plants? Where do you get ether and why would you have it?

I'm seeing the new Harry Potter movie this weekend with a friend, and going to return some stuff to Nordstrom with another friend and make an afternoon out of it. How about you?

Having home-made cactus salad for lunch today. That's a first!

Worms never sleep, LOL. Worms are tomato addicts.

Well, Mr. Doggy gassed them with ether AFTER I had to bravely face them down with my kitchen tongs. I put them in a container with Sevin, and they looked like breaded worms ready for a worm fry. So after the really HARD and BRAVE work was done, THEN he put ether in the container.

Mr. Doggy is a lot like batman. Not that cheesy goofy batman from the TV series. The REAL batman. Who has a dark side, but uses it for good. I'm sure the ether is just one of his crime fighting tools. :egad:

I really do need to go hunt down more tomato addicts today. I'm sure they are out there. :H

Sounds like a fun afternoon. I'm not a Harry Potter follower, but have a number of friends who are. Will be interested in hearing how you like the movie. We bought our first rental dump oops I mean property - closed this morning. It's a "fixer upper" indeed. Guess what's on my agenda this weekend?

Ooooh, good for you on the rental! Cleaning and painting I predict? I'm currently lusting after 5 acres of land with two houses on it here, with a barn and fields for livestock or farming. I ask the universe now for a cool million bucks in cash for this endeavor.

Batman! So you're saying he wears tights? Dark tights and carries an ether nossle for his dark side antics which are really not dark? :H

DG, what is Sevin? I keep thinking Severus Snape since I'm in my Harry Potter mode.

I'm not going to reveal what Mr. Doggy wears or doesn't wear. You will have to just use your imagination. :h

Sevin is a powdered bug killer for gardens. Not organic. So I don't use it on my garden. I just put it in the container to use like breading on catfish for those horny worms. I found one more today. But that's all. And then I worked like a slave staking up tomatoes for the latest round of growth. I was so up close and personal with my plants that I can tell you how many leaves they all have, and assure that as of this moment, they have no worms munching on them. Tomorrow is a new day. Mr. Doggy did not ether this worm. So I assume it is still writhing in the Sevin.

Mr. Doggy does carry a thing around his neck that is inside his shirt that has some tools on it. Superhero tools I'm sure. :H

Hope you are having fun shopping (well, returning) and movie going.
