    Bruun's Titting UP

Hi Ne, I'm fine, a bit of getting organized and a bit of screwing it up, but looking better than last week somehow and that's what counts. Still envious of you and your bac buzzes that got you cleaning out every pantry and drawer in site including Ed's.

I did get some plants in the ground yesterday, had the day off, feel good about that. Bet the neighbors are pleased that certain patch of weeds is gone.

How's school? I was thinking DG for the seminar idea thingy, but you and your bacsters for the bac part if that's part of her sell.

I hate that they have my email address which has my whole name on it. Really unhappy with River Pharmacy for selling my personal info. Not like its a sensitive subject or nuttin'.

Yeah, that sucks about River and the email addy. They've been a bit dodgy...What with the whole sending people on here to shill for them every now and then. And the whole exorbitant cost of baclofen thing...

School's good! Lo-o-o-o-oving it. As to the cleaning bug? I miss it. It's still WAY better than it used to be, but... You'll appreciate this: Beloved Goose had a tough day, apparently. I guess there were workmen in the basement making workmen type noises, which COMPLETELY freak her out. I checked the doors, and she hadn't clawed madly at them. What a relief! Short lived, though. Instead she tore my down comforter to shreds. On my side. I couldn't be bothered to clean it up before a much needed siesta, and slept with puffs of down threatening to be inhaled with every breath. Just cleaned it up, finally.
And of course, the whole thing about getting organized is that it doesn't take half the time to undo the doing! Somehow it's still worth it, though. So good for you.

Great to hear about the plants, too. I love that. It was hard not to be inspired by Rudy and Red, but I resisted all summer. And of course, only where you are is it viable now. (I'm more than a little envious!)

      Hope it's a good night!

Thanks Ne, nice to chat with you and catch up! Oh I would have done the same thing only slept in the feathers and stuffing for a week at least. I'm an embarrassment most of the time. Although lately doing a bit better, here and there. Amazing how much the gut affects my life. The second brain, they say it is.

Ah, puppies. Yours and mine would luv each other. Because mine is a total goose too, only I call him Buggar or Bubby more than his actual name. And he's duck friendly, so I'm sure he'd like Goose.

Here is the only good planting season, really. Otherwise stuff just fries/dries up. Fall is planting season here except for the edible garden, although I've had tomato plants survive year over year if they're protected enough by other foliage. It does freeze tho, lost a plumeria last year. Right now I'm planting callas and grasses and ferny things. So much easier to do it when its warmer outside (summer was cold here), today's its 80. Of course, I'm inside all day but I did venture out to return last night's redbox movies and buy some sole inserts to cushion my footsies in the new heeled dress shoes for tomorrow's trip to Phoenix. OMG, gotta check the weather, a black suit is my only option, PHOENIX. eGads.

Hi Bruun & Friends! Wow - Pheonix tomorrow! How long are you gone for? Will you schedule be brutal or will you have some time for some fun too? I used to go there on business trips. The Biltmore was fabulous! Are you staying somewhere good?

Pete - nope. Not ready to kiss you and your mouth piece yet.

Honeycrisp Apples Yum Yum that is all!

Ne - good to see you here too - and hello to EVERYONE.

rudyb, i can totally totally relate to your post about the way you drank. i'm glad we can talk about that stuff here. bruun i hope you are ok with talking about the dark side sometimes. i want so badly for you and anyone who is still struggling to find the light.

Have you guys read Drinking: A Love Story? Ne, your post made me think about the part where she describes sitting in a bar (rather than drink at home alone) and she was pretending to drink with others, but really was there to drink alone. i.e. pretending lke she was waiting for someone who was standing her up. I did a LOT of that before I finally just gave up the charade and sucked on my bottles at home. At home was safer of course (drunk driving) but just incredibly sad.

Bruun - how were the movies? What do you recommend, if any? I hate to run and not catch up more, but I have to get back to the books. Counseling 101 Final on Thursday. :egad: I hope you guys will send me some good test taking vibes come Thursday. Ne, is it midterm time for you?

Take care one and all! :l Bruun, travel safe tomorrow!

Good morning, happy break of dawn all you Morning People, here is me, slightly hung, leaving at 6:30 for a flight to and from Phoenix today - no overnights this time around, DG. Biltmore too expensive for my company unless its off season plus no Hilton points there....

Uh, feedback on movies and more later.

You should know by now, all youse, I don't mind talking about the dark side, that's what I'm here to do, explore it and dig out. And help others by sharing stories.

Had my green smoothie and my first ever kefir just now. Should be feeling pretty good but me, the cats and dogs, are all feeling this is WAY too dark for any sane body to be awake. And here I type away. Must be what its like to be Ne. Break of bloody dawn and before typing on MWO.

Good morning Bruun! Sounds like it's insane early for you, and here I am in the Central zone getting a late start! Sounds like a LONG day trip. At least you get to sleep in your own bed tonight! I hope you have a good day.

Yep! When it's still dark, not even the birds are up yet, and the day hasn't begun to take form... It makes me yearn for tomorrow morning! But I suppose I'll take the rest of this day. Trying to be in the moment with purpose and all that...

Hope you had a good trip!

oops. I forgot. Logged on to share with you bruun that my pup might be a rug soon. Ed left her alone today for about 1/2 an hour and she tore up my pillow. And a pillow in the guest room. I think tanned she'd be no bigger than a pot holder, though. Maybe a muff for my hands. I could pet her without the hassle of dog ownership.
Reason #672 that I should find a way to work from home and NOT get a job outside of these four walls, much to Ed's dismay. What would the dog do? And she's got at least a couple of years left... I'll be bringing this to Ed's attention soon. Please, no offers for other viable solutions for her behavior! I like that one!

i know i've reported that i was ready for my grumpy old dog to go when she did; my babe was just about to start toddlin' and i wasn't interested in that combination. ne, sorry yours isn't old. (i'm not cold, i'm just a very pragmatic yankee at heart.)

doggy girl, thanks so much for your remark about my post a few days ago.

love y'all! i'm putting myself to bed... 4 am comes early and with a vengence.

oh yeah, bruuuun! hope your trip goes very well. you'll be in 'medium' territory, so watch out for dead people talking to a pretty blond with ample hips and boobs. tell her i'm sorry i stood her up, and that you yourself can claim culpability for that one!

bruun, you'll be fine in the end. you'll lick this demon, of that i am sure. we're here by your cyber side with love and pom poms.

Q: What has John Candy, four Jamaican bobsledders, and is one of the best, feel good movies that you need to watch?

Wanted to chime in on feel good, laugh out loud movies - The Other Guys!

I've been dealing with a lot of stuff lately (medical), and have been crazy busy at work today, which has actually been a good distraction. Taking a little break and coming here to catch up with you all has brought a smile to my face.

                              :thanks:
