    Bruun's Titting UP

    Dresses

Oh, DG, I finally went dress shopping today! My friend is so good with style. It didn't take us very long. I actually ended up with TWO! :H
Both at Bloomingdale's. The first one is this super cute BCBG dress that I fell in love with the second I put it on. And I knew I would, because the price tag was more than I really wanted to pay. After trying on a bunch of other dresses, I still couldn't get it out of my head. So I decided to go ahead and buy it as my "back up", just in case I couldn't find anything else. I figured I'd hit the big outlet mall down here another day and see if I couldn't find something a little more affordable. When it rang up at the register, it was on sale for $100 less than the tag!! I couldn't believe my luck. That actually put it into my price range.
As I was paying for it, my friend held up this dark aqua blue drapey dress and said, "You should try this on too." So I figured what the heck, couldn't hurt. And darnit if I didn't love that one too. So I bought both! :H The second one was $100 cheaper than the first one too, so big plus there. I'll figure out which one I want to wear as it gets closer and then return the other. My guy friend has it all figured out, how I'll need to do my hair and my makeup, down to which shoes and accessories I should get. He'd make such a great gay guy! Funny thing though, I don't get along well with gay men. I think it's because I'm too much of a tomboy, that they end up being way too girly for me! Or I'm too masculine for them! Ha!

So after shopping I treated my friend to an early dinner. I was in the mood for a good burger, because after so many low cal days, I needed to have a higher calorie day. And I'm doing strict low carb for the next week starting tomorrow, as I have a big Halloween party (and a skimpy costume to wear to it!) next Saturday. We tried a new place right near the mall and it was FANTASTIC. Best burger I've ever had. Kobe beef (medium rare), with sauteed mushrooms, carmelized onions, applewood smoked bacon and garlic aioli. Holy shnikes, what a great cheat meal. I even treated myself to a cider. I drank it slow (saved most of it until the burger came) and savored it. It's funny, even when every other alcoholic thing tastes disgusting to me, cider always tastes good. So I'm happy now - got 2 great dresses to choose from, got to spend time with my best friend, and wrapped it all up with a great meal.

Would love to see some pics of your cupcakes! If you take pics, I can let you know how to post them here. Took me awhile to figure it out myself! But I've got it down now.
I love the DE for my tummy issues, and its a great way to replace psyllium husk which can cause rather urgent bathroom visits ... DE is gentler than that and does an excellent job, I actually combine the two for the best effect. Plus adding both/either adds fiber to your diet which is one of the main drivers to getting a healthy cholesterol ratio. I started a thread in holistic some time ago about cholsterol, maybe I should update it with DE but I don't have proof that DE is a replacement for psyllium, I just know it acts as a fiber in the diet and helps with acid reflux and upset tummy.

I hope your cyst moves on too! There must be stuff you can do to help dissolve it besides meditation. By the way, the CD I have is the CD version of the book you have, A Path With Heart. Listening in the car helps me start the meditation verbiage, repeating and practicing the things he says to do which open your heart, which bring you peace. I listened to 2 of the 3 CD set so far, and repeated portions over and over, to start me as I'm driving and anxious, on the path to relaxation - totally works! I can't focus much at home either, but this helps me alot because when I'm in the car, stressed, I'm usually on my way to give a presentation or to go to a bank meeting - and being on time when you're going 100 miles through LA traffic which can take between 90 minutes and four hours is stressful! DG, I think everyone experiences this road rage and near misses much more due to cell phones these days, and population density. You should get the CD I have or the book Is has, they both start you on the self love/forgiveness thing too which is the first step.

Cupcakes are all eaten up! I had TWO (at home alone)! Because they were so full of chocolate, couldn't resist. I have extra icing if anyone wants it, sugar-loaded but made with grass-fed organic butter and organic cold pressed coconut oil! Is, maybe if I eat all the icing, my bp will go down due to the coconut? And my blood sugar will spike all over the place, not to mention my waist.
Great shopping story, wish I had a GBB when I was your age, to help me figure out my "look" ... Or any BB with style, style was definitely lacking.

Well, I've also started (again, because I forgot about it for AWHILE), drinking ACV in water 3 times a day. There have been great reports of people healing their cysts that way. Here's hoping!

I found it on a great site - E A R T H . C L I N I C - Folk Remedies and Holistic Cures, which is chock full of natural remedies! Very addictive site for someone like me!
That was where I found the ONLY testimony of someone curing their IC with coconut oil, so I'm hopeful there.

Careful with the coconut oil, Isolde. I tried it a few months ago, but I started off at too high a dose so had to back off it. I haven't figured out a proper titration schedule to get accustomed to the SE's, so let me know if you found one that works. Thanks.

hmmm. What were the SEs? I was just getting ready to think about ordering some. (Thanks, Is.) Sounds like a magic elixir!

Hello to all! This is a lovely place to lurk! Thanks!
I would comment on stuff, but I'd have to go back several pages. I'll just say a general hallloooo, and this:
Is, one of my friends recently ended up in the hospital due to a cyst. (She's fine, but the pain was so excruciating she went to the ER in the middle of the night.) She has not had a revisit, though she preemptively treats any menstrual pain the very minute she feels any. The doctor told her (and I've heard this elsewhere) that it is much easier to arrest it before it starts than it is to treat it after the fact. just fyi. I hope it is simply gone! oy. :l

I'm out again! Back to the books. STILL studying the muscles. Seriously. Now with stuff attached to them. I am no longer fond of them. Peace out!

What kind of SEs did you get, Pete? And how much were you taking? I have taken 1 tbsp. daily off on and for awhile with absolutely no issues. This time I jumped right into taking it twice a day, about 12 hours apart, then really quickly decided to start taking 3 tbsp per day. Have just backed down to 2 though to see if it will be just as effective. So far, so good.

The only thing I can think of is that you might get some kind of die off, as it's antimicrobial, antifungal and antibacterial.

Yeast die off was my first thought too. And if you have a lot of yeast die off, then you have a lot of yeast. The titration schedule I was told about was to start with 1 teaspoon per day for a few days, then gradually work up by teaspoons every few days from there. If you start feeling the yeast die off symptoms, back down a bit and stay there for awhile. I also started taking probiotics in addition to working to kill off the excess yeast. Still take 'em.

Pete - I don't get around to everyone else's threads much. A few days ago I say you mentioned a job - I've been wanting to ask if that is a new job? If so, how's it going? (or even if not!)

Ne - I gotta hit the books too so I'm signing off very soon.

Good to see you lurkers coming out of the woodwork.

Brutus, I hope you are having a fabulous day. That goes for all you friends too.

                              Hey DG,

Just had to say good luck with the studies, you'll do great.

Also had to brag on my new favorite foodie item: raw chocolate maca sauce from my local farmers market.

This chocolate is made from raw chocolate, raw agave, raw cacao, raw cacao powder, extra virgin CO, maca root, vanilla extract, himalayan salt, and good intentions.

I keep thinking about all the sweet stuff I'm gonna buy once the paychecks start rolling in. For the first time in my life, I'll have a bunch of extra spending money since I won't be wasting it all on beer and cigs. Speaking of which, I'm on day 4 no nicotine woop woop!
