    Bruun's Titting UP

Be glad no chemical fertilizer is used, it depletes the soil and the crops suffer with lower nutrition value. An apple is not an apple in the United States.

Are you from Zim bleep? How's the diet going so far?

      I am Bruun.

Pretty successful so far, just finished dinner ( small cheese and tomato omelette with a salad!!). Know for sure I will be hungry soon! Where were the chips? 2 apples during the day, not enough, I know, but I will have another one later when I get hungry.

Great job on the dieting front. I'm getting sick of the protein and carbs are calling my name. I drink tea tea tea. I'm forgetting to feed the dog because I'm never eating myself and I avoid the kitchen. Poor guy. Not that he always eats it, tho, which helps assuage my guilt.

Zim seems like such an exotic place from here...

I've had this same discussion with Ne - USA is the exotic one, if you ask me!

I need to check with Mrs bleep, because a lot of what I think is healthy is actually not. She seems a little more on-sides with the plan, and I have told her that any snide comments about my weight will result in my teasing her about her boozing, so we're good there.

I'm looking forward to feeling healthier from this better diet!

Haha, so your hound is on an accidental diet, poor him!

Well obviously I need to learn more about Z.

And my dog didn't eat his brekky this AM, me thinks its due to mummy spoilin' him over the weekend with chicken. He's on a Down with Dogfood campaign again.

(I just had a hell of a time typing campaign instead of champagne.)

Hi Bruun! Just wanted to pop in for a wave! I know that feeling of carbs calling my name. Difficult. L-Glut by the grams helps take the edge off for me.

We raw feed our dogs. Mr. Doggy did the research on it during one of the big dog food recalls about....5 years ago maybe? Our dogs have done really well health wise eating that way. Especially our older beagle - he was starting to have some health problems and the raw feeding took YEARS off of him. Natural Nutrition for Dogs and Cats was a basic book on the subject that even I could understand while swimming in vodka.

Anyway...just thought I'd throw that out there.

How is life otherwise? Today is like much later in the spring. So now my toes are a BRIGHT coral shade.

How's your's going so far Bruun? Do you think the baclofen has left a residual effect, since it seems that it is slightly easier to go AF. I say that in no way detracting from your achievement, which it still is, obviously.

All this talk of spring depresses me - I'm in the southern part of the world, which means we are coming up to winter - not my favourite season! The houses here are designed to shed heat, so they are freezing in the winter

Spring showers here, and cold. I'm cold all the time. Shoot, did I take my thyroid med, yes I did, but still cold. Sorry to think of you cold Bleep. Maybe Mrs Bleep can help out with that. Get her to that magic bac level where all is merry under the covers.

Hi Coral Toes, good for you! In fact I was admiring my polish-free toes today, sick of wearing that stuff. Heheh, different perspectives.

I did feed BARF (!) for about three months last year, with okay success - still a picky eater. I may try it again but I thought raw was a pain in the neck and I don't like handling it! He had a package of chicken thighs last week & loved them -I still raw feed on occasion. I was doing it to clear up allergies but it didn't seem to help. I buy Taste of the Wild and it's grain free, poultry free, etc. I will keep the raw in my back pocket for now. Maybe we should all stick to sashimi and raw veggies/fruits and see if we eliminate years too!

I lost plenty of years with AL. Now I credit Mary Kay for any additional lost years. :H I would rather lose a year with Mary Kay than lose a year with AL.

Raw fish? No. That's dog food.

I am plain toes all winter so my first pedi of the season is always a WILD color choice.

Sounds like you have chosen a great alternative to raw. If you can get picky one to eat it. :upset: We have no picky ones here. Mr. Doggy's older Shepherd slept in the food dish when he was a puppy. He would still sleep in it today if it were big enough.

The beagle used to always have a hot spot and lived constantly in one of those hoods. After a couple months on raw it cleared right up and the only one he's had since then was when I was tracking him using a beef based food. When I switched to turkey of the same stuff he was fine, so he doesn't get any beef ever. (mostly we feed chicken, turkey and fish - and some road kill aka deer in the winter)

Some day I want a little tiny doggy all my own. What kind of doggy do you have? ( I don't remember what I read, if I read!!!)

                      :H Very funny.

I may try again and just do poultry. I think he had problems with the beef too. More itchy. Do you use pork ever? There are cheap cuts of pork to be found, odd parts.

                        Bruun's Titting UP

                        Update.

Today Elizabeth Taylor died, which for some reason really shocks me. I don't follow celebrities including her, but I share a name with her and her battles with alcohol and weight resonate with me. I don't want to be fighting these two things my whole life. I want to be DONE with them, I want to win, I will.

Update on AL intake: it's been 6days AF, since last Wednesday. I'm committed although I do get cravings. I also get cravings for chocolate milk, milk shakes, and I made the mistake of watching the food channel for a few minutes and now I'm thinking cheeseburgers but not that much. I'm trying to figure out how to keep the cravings at bay and as such doubled my dose of L-glut yesterday to about 10,000mg and got a little (TMI alert!) diarrhea. I am assuming it's the L-glut because the only other thing I changed was the biotin, I started taking 10mg biotin but that's never bothered me before.

                        Lost 5lbs.

No booze and 5 lbs in 6 days? That's fabulous. I meant to ask you are you trying to get into ketosis, and if so, has it happened? I also read that you had been taking MCFAs, but not coconut oil. Have you read negative stuff about it? I love the organic extra virgin coconut oil. I eat a tablespoon daily and occasionally apply it to my skin and hair. I was thinking about writing something on the benefits in our holistic section, but wanted to hear your experience.

I get issues with 5 grams a day, even less. I have been taking the capsule and wonder if I should switch to the powder. It sounds like Red T has a good response with that and not the pills. I just may try it, I know it's an effective tool for alkies with blood sugar problems.

Oh, and RIP Elizabeth Taylor. :upset:

                                Bruun's Titting UP

Hi Bruun! :yougo::yougo::yougo: on 6 Days AF!!! That is awesome.

I too share a name with Elizabeth Taylor. I used to hate the name Elizabeth. One day when I whined about that to my Mom (the teenage years LOL) she explained that my Dad named me. I guess he wanted a boy really bad and so the "consolation prize" my Mom offered was that he got to pick the name he wanted.

Of course my next question was "what would YOU have named me, Mom?" (thinking of course, that it would be something WAY cool) She said "I was going to name you after your grandmothers." I had to think about that one for a minute as they were always "Grandma" to me - not their first names. I'm sure a look of complete horror came over my face as I realized that she would either have named me Edith Lucille or Lucille Edith. :H I never complained about my name again.

I am right there in the "battle the booze and the weight" soup with you and Liz T. I really love All One. (and L-Glut) When I first came here I used all the recommended stuff except for Topa. At some point I stopped the All One and did switch to another multi. But I realized over time that the All One was really making a difference in how I felt. So I've been back on it now since late December. I think I need to up my L-glut even more for the sugar cravings - probably switch to powdered form.

I have pretty well resigned myself to the fact that I will probably be going to AA and Weight Watchers for the rest of my life. :H So rather than fight it, I took a part time job with WW. :H Whatever it takes to not be fat and drunk I guess!

Have a GREAT day. What kind of doggy is it you have again?
