anyway, i think this is the perfect place to ask the ladies one final question before going to bed: when you come home, do you suddenly find your underwear to be unbearably uncomfortable, such that you must tear it off the first time you go pee in your own toilet? just curious. (lookin' for shared experience here.)

hi rudyb. no, i do not rip off my undies the minute i walk through the door. shoes? yes. undies? no. you are a unique and free spirit among us!!! :H
Where is Brutus??????? I hope you are having a great start to the weekend, whatever you are doing. I hope we haven't hijacked your thread too much! Come out come out wherever you are!!!
Hi Is, Pete, Brenda, LL, LoOp, and any other friends or lurkers who happen along.
I'm off to school shortly. They have some quick, 1 credit hour (or 15 CEUs for the already certified) Saturday classes on specific topics. 4 Saturdays, 2.5 hours per Saturday. This one is about correct clinical documentation. Sort of a dull topic but very important. And I like the teacher. He's also my on-line class teacher for Dual Disorders so it's cool to interact in the classroom. Many many years of experience and very forward thinking.
So...off I go. Hope you all are setting up for a great weekend.

Good morning everyone!
I am one that can not stand to be without underwear! I never could sleep naked.
I was always afraid something would sneak up there.
Hmmmmmmmmm, maybe that's why I am not married anymore.
My Rangers lost..:upset:
I am going to a Big Book meeting at 9. There is a really cool AA group in this town.
All beliefs and everything aside, I love the comraderie; it keeps me sane!
Take care everyone and Happy Saturday!

Ne,
Good to see you. I really think it came from childhood. My dad was a big outdoors person and we camped out alot! My ex and I had an RV...felt the same as camping to me. He and the boys used it many times, but when I tagged along, I always made us get a hotel room!
And Rudy with my flat a$$ I could never do thongs.
Off and running! Have a great day.

Morning all! After a rough time trying to fall asleep last night, I ended up sleeping really well and actually sleeping in! Woo hoo! It's so welcome, especially as I have a lot of stuff to do today. It's all fun stuff though, getting ready for a big party tonight with an awesome group of people.
I got some non-narcotic pain relievers (tramadol) called in for my knee yesterday, because 4 Advil at a time wasn't touching it and I was getting tired of limping. Takes awhile to kick in, but definitely helps. Hopefully I won't wake up in too much pain tomorrow after dancing tonight!

When I get home, the first thing I do is change out of my work clothes into something comfy, and the undergarments come off too. Getting rid of the bra trumps getting rid of the undies though. When I was about 19, I spent about a year or so going commando (well, not ALL the time, sometimes you need undies! but most of the time). I stopped eventually because the stubble that would grow back in after shaving ended up chafing me while I walked! :H

I'm the opposite - I can't sleep with clothes on. I hate the way it feels when the fabric twists around me if I roll over or if it wrinkles and I end up laying on the wrinkle. I can't even stand it when I'm sleeping naked and the sheet wrinkles underneath me. I'm like the princess and the pea when it comes to stuff like that. I need those sheets nice and tight and smooth (sounds a bit sexy, huh?!) and tucked in.

DG, hope your class isn't too boring. It's a good thing that you like the professor though! Was wondering if you saw my post about food yesterday? We cross posted, so I didn't know if you'd missed it. It was in answer to your question about what I eat besides coconut oil.Better Living Through Chemistry

thanks, is. my mom gave me a spelling lesson in email. don't know why she didn't put it here. maybe she's feeling shy after her 'selfesteem' moment.
i like light, soft bedclothes. lately i sleep in my nana's cashmere sweater, though (it's pink), because the house is cold at night, which is how i like it for sleep. even in the winter sometimes i crack a window. and i LOVE soft, cotton, high-thread-count sheets. dreamy.
isolde! have a ball at your party! i hope you get lots and lots of candy! wish i could join you.
ok, i'd really better get moving. party starts in half an hour, and the bags remain unpacked. but i bought the cake this year, flourless chocolate torte that g picked out at my request. it won't be too salty like last year's. anyway, the people coming are so muy chevere (very cool), that they'd eat salt sprinkled on snow and chuckle about it.
wish me luck with this storm. let it be romantic, not crucifying!

Hope the party is wonderful!! I think taking some help from the store for a cake was a good idea. A flourless chocolate torte for a 5 year old is unusual, but I bet that with you as a mom, he has very grown up taste! Not like those kids who will only eat pizza, mac and cheese and hot dogs. That was my best friend growing up. Meanwhile, my brothers and I ate whatever was put in front of us, which was always homecooked because we were too poor to eat out (but now I know how lucky I was to eat a homecooked meal every night). I remember eating frog legs once as a kid and my brothers and I thought it was the coolest thing ever! :H
The torte sounds divine!
I hope the storm is gentle and beautiful, providing a cozy backdrop to everyone enjoying themselves inside in the warmth. :lBetter Living Through Chemistry

Haaa and I thought it was just me. I can't sleep in a warm room and even in winter I need a window open.

It's not something I would do now: that 's not my sort of fun anymore.
But as far as pain is concerned, remember you can take various types of painkillers together and increase the analgesic effect. Just like you might take ibuprofen together with acetaminophen.*
