    Bruun's Titting UP

heya bruun! sorry it's suckers over there! i always hated the bankers most when i was in waitressing (the male ones). hope your cat comes back.

dg, did you mean to imply that 'fanny' isn't from this land? i thought it was from vermont, because it was oft heard in my childhood.

apropos of the underwear chat (now that was a chat!), i also yank off the jewelery the second i walk in: the bracelets, the necklace, usually the ring, even the earrings, no matter how light and unimposing. it's as if, once i cross that threshold into my home, no more freeloaders! anyone else have that?! fascinating stuff, really.

A fanny in the UK (I'm told) is a pussy. That's why they find it rather disconcerting when Americans talk about 'fanny bags' or say "my granny's fanny".

See? You are as worldly as I am becoming Brenda. I made the mistake of saying something about my own fanny (butt!!!) on AF Daily in front of Marshy, who is from UK. She educated me. :H

Brutus, did your kitty come home???? I sure hope so. I'm sorry to hear you had a bad day at work too. That is distressing when people go around you and argue/fuss, etc. I hope today is better.

rudyb - back indeed to that undie ripping off conversation.....someone mentioned ripping their bra off first thing (Is maybe?) which i definitely do that. and the jewely - that comes off immediately too. even my wedding band which i almost always remember to put on whenever i leave the house for anything other than exercise. but it comes off too when i am home!

I'm at school so I need to get busy and study which is why I came here early in the first place! Some reading, then debate team meeting before class. Then I'm going to a graduation from Mental Health Court this afternoon. It's like Drug Court only for people who have a mental issue in addition to substance abuse/addiction and it's an alternative to jail like Drug Court. This is the first graduating class for this Mental Health Court program. I'm looking forward to being there for this girl's graduation, and also just learning more about the program, meeting the judge and others, etc. I'm finding I feel VERY much at home in the treatment community. I NEVER felt like that in my previous hot shot sales career. I could put on the dog and do it, but it never felt quite right. (insert drinking here)

        Have a good day all!

Thinking about the ADD thing - I need to research on natural remedies for ADD - any of you experienced in the ADD therapy know anything else besides RX to help? I hate to add more RX especially the ones that challenge blood pressure issues which I can't afford to do until I'm a little more mellow in the intake of AL.

I don't know of any natural remedies per se for ADD, other than pharmaceuticals. My psych uses Wellbutrin in adults with ADD sometimes, and there is Strattera. This is a nonstimulant med prescribed to adults with ADD. I think you aren't the only one with this dilemma. Adults don't have the same cardiovascular systems as children, and the SEs of the stimulant drugs can wreak havoc.

Some people find some relief if they change their diet. I believe Tip mentioned this on the Ritalin thread that was started. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try something like Phosphatidylserine or Piracetam and see if you get any help from those. I haven't found a natural substance to help mine, but then again, I'm on HDB. It's hard to know for sure.

EDIT: I should say that adults and children have the same system, but in children their CV systems haven't experienced the wear and tear of aging.

            Thanks Red,

On the ritalin thread, the link Otter put in said that ritalin kills kids because it constricts their heart blood vessels and if you're saying that kids have LESS negative effects because of less wear and tear from aging, than ritalin is a no-no, for adults. That was a frightening link.

I have tried piracetam, find it helps me somewhat but not enough to keep me taking it daily. Of course, any routine doesn't work for me except for my iced tea in the AM, which I generally remember because it makes my tummy feel better.

I read a couple books on brain spectrum studies - I forget the book names and the studies names but it was about spotting irregularities in the brain due to injuries - and made me think about the several concussions I had in my life and wonder about that ... Apparently those can be more serious than thought those years ago.

I'm fairly certain it's Otter's personal goal to scare 10 people a day. Once he's accomplished that he returns to his lair where he dines on hopes, dreams, and children's tears.

What an interesting question, DG. I think the answer depends on what's being judged.

If looks are the sole criteria, then I'm obviously the winner. Thin, muscular, perfect symmetry and a smile that melts the hearts of women everywhere.

If it's based on personality, again, I'm clearly the winner.

If our intelligence is thrown into the mix, then I'm miles ahead of the competition.

If it's based on humility, well then the other contestants don't have shit on me.

If the criteria is based on a combination of all the above, then I am clearly on top by a tremendous margin.

Brenda confided to me in a PM (in which she made vicious insults about all you beautiful, strong, independent ladies) that she is missing half her skull due to a childhood accident playing with the family wheat thresher. Oh, and she's also a chick.

Loop will try to humor you with photos of himself, but he is clearly a Miss Teen South Carolina contestant, minus the winning smile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WALIARHHLII[/video]]Miss Teen USA South Carolina 2007 with Subtitles - YouTube

Point taken, will continue to pursue the option - now to find a psych with experience and accolates with ADD in adults. Seems they're all about kids. :l

Brutus, I hope you can find someone excellent. :l If you decide to start asking other humans who they think might be good, you could always say your daughter/sister/mother/aunt/best friend/neighbor, etc. is the one who needs the help. If I were trying to find a good psych doc in my area who also knew a thing or two about addiction, there are two people I know I would ask. One is the clinical director at a local addiction treatment center and the other is one of my teachers. Those might be the types of people you could hunt down in your area - people in those positions would likely know some good psych docs.

I'm not sure who the person was in that Youtube. Too much of a southern accent to be pete, and too many teeth to be Brenda. So it must have been LoOp.

Goofing off at MWO is SO much more fun tonight than homework!
