    My Diary (baclofen)

I hope you know those of us around the world are watching what is happening in Japan and sending many thoughts and prayers your way.

Take care of your little one. They are so precious.

    Thanks Cindi.

Yes, the Japanese people are aware of and touched by the outpouring of support from around the world.

Started baclofen on February 16th. Now at 210mg divided into six doses per day. You do the math.

Good thinking Edo. Man, it's unreal what's happening there, it's like a 2012 film or something. Hope you are well.

Good move on the drinking, it really helps with the SE's. Here's hoping Easter goes smoothly for you...

Edo, I think of you every time I look at the news, and every time I remember the post about what happened to you at mass.

Very smart move to get out of the city in case an evac order comes through. I'm very glad you are doing that.:l

          Jeff,
I carry the coin you sent in my wallet because I haven't figured out how to have it attached to do it better yet...

Yesterday it came out as I was paying a bill and the clerk asked what it was. (He said, "cool coin" ha!)
I proudly told him. It's the best one I've ever 'earned.' (whoda thunk?)

          Thinking of you, of course.

Edostan, I was thinking if I was in your shoes, I'd be getting out now too. Glad you're handling things AF, and sugar free too. I think THAT will help with the bac recovery. I'm going sugar free as of TODAY. I think it will help my AL cravings. Remember L-glut is good for helping with carb cravings including AL.

I'm so glad you're getting away from that mess. I have a spare guest room if things get really desparate, and you want to come to California. It would be tight but at least it would be far from that mess.

The news said US troops were being told to remain 80KM (50Miles) away from the plants to avoid the worst radiation.

This all makes me think of the nuclear plant 30 miles from me....

You are welcome in Colorado too! The accommodations are very humble, but the scenery around here is spectacular.

                My Diary (baclofen)

You guys are really great! It's 3am here and I don't think I'm gonna be able to sleep (not the bac this time). US is sending charter flights to take citizens out of here to Seoul and Taipei. But we've got some problems, my wife's passport is expired. We'd planned to get it renewed before coming to the US this year. Also, new baby is so young that she has no passport yet (Jpn or US). Elder daughter, 2 1/2 is fine, she has two very very cute passports. I think she should carry them around in a little briefcase with some cash and a plastic gun, Jason Bourne style.

So, we are escaping the threat of nuclear radiation by going to ...

                ....

                ... drumroll please

                ...

                Hiroshima!! How ironic is that?

It's pretty far south, so we booked a hotel and will catch a Shinkansen (bullet train) in the morning. Planning to take my daughter to pray at the A-bomb memorial. We were walking home from preschool one day a couple of weeks ago and she said "Papa play!" Play what? "play play" and she pointed to a small shrine next to the street, Oh not play, pray. So we went over and put our hands together, put our heads down, and she said "finish!". She remembered it from New Years at the shrine near grandma's house. Her memory is pretty amazing.

Wish me luck on being able to get a train. And seriously, when I say you guys are great, it is because you guys are great!

Ironic indeed. Safe travels. While in Hiroshima, can you get the passports started?

Jeff, that little story about your daughter is TOO cute!! Glad you were able to find somewhere else to go. Yeah, Hiroshima is definitely ironic! How is that for things coming full circle though? Hiroshima was able to recover, and now it's serving as a haven for you. I think that bodes well for the rest of Japan's recovery.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you guys will be able to hop on a train with no problems!!

You sound like you have your head on straight Edo. Even considering the considerable stress you're under. I donated today to the American Red Cross disaster relief for Japan. It was a modest donation, but it helps me feel like I'm doing something, anything. I figure even modest donations have to add up. I pray that you get your beautiful family out of there as quickly and safely as possible.

You're good to do that redhead. Yes, a modest donation is the right thing to do. Japan doesn't need money, this is a rich country but it needs support. When this is done, and they hear how many Americans donated, that is what will touch them. Donate 5 bucks, it doesn't matter, it really is the thought that counts in this case.

Good to hear you caught the train, I can imagine it's chaos. Says a lot that there are even trains running, my lot can't get it together on quiet Tuesday afternoon to get a train running!

Here's hoping it calms down soon, and life can return to normal. How have you been baclofen and booze-wise during this whole thing Jeff, I can't imagine it's been easy?
