I have about 20 seconds, so please forgive that I have nothing of consequence to add to the discussion, and keep in mind that I have a couple of things to follow up with you about, one of them is a resounding thank you.

The thing I really want to know is what the hell is up with all the WHILST's showing up around here? Has someone switched out your perfectly perfect dictionary with the lesser known British version? I gotta know, Red, are you going over to the Red side??? (lest I offend, I have no real problem with British people, or the color red. I am not fond at all of the word whilst.)

Nah, Ne. Whilst I have a fondness for the Brits on here, I'm as American as they come. And I'm sure they will make fun of it, but I'm also proud to be one. I just wanted to break out of character, and freak you out a bit. :H:H

Now the jokes are done. It looks like my house AC is on the fritz too. It is 89 degrees in here and almost 10pm. I honestly can't take this. I just took an ice cold shower and already it's wearing off. The nanny will probably quit if I don't get this taken care of. All I can do is hope it is only a repair, and not a new AC that is required. I CANNOT bear this. It is BS when they say the Lord only gives you as much as you can handle. I don't think I can handle this!!

Hang in, RedH. Hang in. You gave birth and have children, that is way more uncomfortable/challenging/difficult, minute to minute, than a stinking AC, HDB, a job, a nanny, and so much more.
Actually, if you want to tell me to f*ck off you're welcome to! WTF are optimistic words worth in the face of no AC in July? We're not bleep. This is amuuurrrica, as Pete so succinctly puts it, not Africa. Sucks, sister, sorry.

            Hey Red,

Put on cold wet sock and undies. I swear the wet socks in the freezer thing works wonders. At least temporarily. And a frozen towel at the back of your neck, or an ice pack, when you go to bed.

By the way, how long did it take for your hair to grow back? I started yet another round of hair vitamins today and doubled my fish oil ... I'm DYING for my hair to recover.

It took a while Bruun. Like about a year. I could tell after some months it was growing in, but a year for full tresses.

31?C is a delightful temperature, what are you moaning about? Open the doors, let a little breeze in, take off your jersey and relax.

Red, when you say eating, are you chewing them? Just swallow them whole. Get a little saliva and go for it. It becomes very easy with practice. Bear in mind that when your dose is split so much, you are only swallowing 1 or 2 pills at a time.

Mwahahaha my cunning plan to turn you all into sophisticated Brit types is starting to work.

Oh and btw if you can't cope with the normal temperatures in the place you live then you shouldn't be living there. Move to somewhere with a sensible, moderate climate, somewhere like...oh I don't know...Britain?

Yes, Ne, I agree. They are more challenging and difficult minute to minute than the rest. Except, having the nanny and air conditioning, makes dealing with them much easier.

I took your advice. Not the cold wet undies and socks, but I did get some towels freezing cold and wet. I put them over and under my head, and elsewhere on my body, while I tried to sleep. It helped. So did an ice cold shower at 4am.

Bleepster, it is not so much the temp, as it is the temp combined with the humidity. There was no breeze. The air felt so thick you could cut it with a knife. We have something here called the heat index (do you use this measurement?), and yesterday, it was somewhere between 110-115 (43-46C). So, even if the thermometer reads a mere 98-99F (36-37C), it feels closer to 115. The physical toll it takes is what 110-115 could do. I couldn't take anymore yesterday. My house with my best attempt to keep it cool, was 94 degrees. And like I said, the humidity was sky high. We were sweating bullets, and the wee ones were complaining of feeling sick. I finally found an HVAC guy, who was willing to come over and assess my AC. Everyone was so booked, most couldn't come for a day or two. I got it repaired for $600 bucks. Not what I was planning to spend yesterday. :upset: They knew they had me by the balls. Or, whatever the equivalent term would be for a woman. :H

I keep trying to swallow them without water. For some reason the bac gets stuck in my throat. I don't know if it's the way the pill is made or what. Maybe it's because I always have dry mouth from my drug cocktail.

As if Murphy! I don't have anything against your home, but I don't think I'd fit in there. I'm much too...open.

I've never heard of a heat index, but I understand the principle. It's much hotter than what it says. Those are uncomfortable temperatures, for sure!

The problem is, is you are trying to swallow a pill. Just swallow. It's a mental trick you have to play with yourself. Once you get it once, it becomes easier and easier. Practice! Try popping one in as you finish chewing a meal, and see how simpler it goes down, because you still think it's food. It's that sort of trick that will allow you to get the hang of it.

Bruun, as you know, we've communicated some on this hair thing via pm. I can't answer the latest now. I haven't been able to do the phone pm thing very well. I'm hoping there will be a laptop in my somewhat near future. It's on the to do list, but obviously not a necessity ( I know some of you might say otherwise ). Once all is caught up, and I save up, I'll buy one. Not one of those cheap ones either. If I'm going to buy something, it will be what I want, or a close second.

I wish I could report I went somewhere exotic. A dream destination like Bora Bora or New Zealand, or I could think of about 20 places, but not so. I went up north. I went home. I'm at my bud bud's house (brother). We call each other bud bud. It's kinda weird and I don't know when it started, but it just is. So, I'm staying here for a few days to break up the trip, and then head up further north to our true roots. We'll be doing what we love best. Some rustic camping, fishing, hiking, and canoeing. He'll then head back to his house and I'll stay up ( I rented a little place on the water). I'll visit with friends from childhood, we have a little reunion planned. Even though it isn't so exotic, I'm excited about it.

I'm going back to bed now. It's quiet and comfy in my room. I may be able to catch another hour or two of sleep, before the masses wake up.

Awe, maybe I won't go back to sleep after all. I got a solid 4 hours and this is much better than the 2 or at most 3, I have been getting. And I actually finally have the time and energy to update.

I've been working a ton. Like five 12 hour shifts a week, and it is so crazy, I never get out on time. Unless I'm at my agency job. Being back at the old job too is a blessing and also a PIA (pain in the ass) at times. I'm trained to take a certain kind of patient, and not many of us are, so I get these patients daily. I love these kind of patients, but they are busy. Working so many shifts and being so busy has really screwed up my bac dosing. I sometimes leave work at 8:30 pm with 80mg left to take. I then try to play catch up in the evening and I might be able to do it, but since my bac dosing is all screwed up...the sweet siren calls me. I end up drinking 2-3 large glasses of wine and then I've taken enough bac in a short time, that I crash. I sometimes miss 20mg sometimes 40. My dosing is completely erratic at this point.

And then I read about Gearhead. I cried...i was (am) very sad. It was a wake up call for me (thank you Gearhead for that). We are close in age, he had a terrible time trying to take bac and think straight as an engineer. His last post was something like he's quitting bac because it messes up his thinking too much. Well, now he's not thinking at all.

I decided I'm going to have to do this, and do it right. That day, I made myself take all the 160, I'm supposed to be on. I've then had crazy SEs and many have been at work, since I'm sure I'm not used to 160 anymore, but I really don't know what to take because I bounce all around. I was at work playing with something called a PA catheter. My coworker was next to me and I couldn't remember for an instant which way I wanted to turn the stopcock. It's really stupid. You have three ways you can turn it. Whatever. So, he says to me (my coworker)," um redhead, turn it that way, are you a little rusty?" I just told him," no, I'm just exhausted. You know how much I've been working." He said, "yes I know.". End of story. No more questions, but that's the thing. I forget basic stuff when I don't titrate slowly or mess my dose up.

I have almost 2 weeks before I go back to work. I hope to get myself all straightened out...at least with the dosing. The beast has a strong hold on my bud bud. More on that later, my finger is cramping. :H I can't even proofread, as my screen won't scroll up.

Peace peeps...till next time. It won't be long, I promise.

Awe, Redhead, I'm so sorry dosing is such a bitch and that your brother is in grips of the beast. Have you or will you share your bac story and MWO with him? The little place on the water sounds so wonderful. I hope you have a lovely time and get alot of rest. Remember to order more bac so when you return you'll have more on the way to you. If that's how you do it, I don't recall if you're an RX or overseas girl. I'm taking next week off myself, wish I had a little place on the water reserved. Inspiring...
