Arbaclofen, I think it's called. There's a thread about it now, I think.

Someone who knows what they are talking about feel free to put me in my place, but they do something to the Cl part of the baclofen molecule, which is the bit that causes all the nasties apparently, and it's not so bad after that.

Read that somewhere, may have misremembered it though.

if there are any shenanigans that's probably what it's about. I don't think the pharm industries give a shit about anything but dollars. they are probably trying to repackage this so they can get a patent. make it injectible or time released or whatever. fucked up.

I won't weigh in on the whole conspiracy thing. It's bad for my mind. That said, I do actually worry for Dr. L's health, or at least his medical license.

Redhead, good for you! There was a point in late November when I thought I might have to do just that. I figured that it was better to look for a job sober and healthy, than to keep the job and not be able to finish the bac. Fortunately, mostly because of luck, I was able to do both.
More power to you, though, for making the decision. And lucky for you that you can!

I'm excited for you. It is indeed, worth it!

              Heheheheh, "bah". bleep, funny dude.

Money rules capitalist societies. You may have noticed it also rules dictatorshits, communists, and just about every other person in the world. Even those of us who like to think we don't vote with our wallets, like for example, I vote for higher taxes even though it will personally hurt me, but I'm a bleeding heart as my dad says, and I vote for the greater good. And I have huge anxiety about my own financial security.

Of course you can't make it all perfect, but you can make it better, and social programs are important. But in the US, corporations own the law and the politics, the media and the universities. Kick and scream about it if you like, but it's true in most cases even if not at the individual level. Pharma will have to make money to not kill this drug. Maybe a skin patch delivery system? It would actually help patients - all you struggling to make your doses consistent, if you had this for two months, you'd be fine, fewer SEs, so it's not all bad. But like bleep, I'm a big conspiracy theorist. BAH!

Red, I'm glad you can afford to take two months off to do this. You have great priorities, your kids will be better people because of it. HOW could their father leave the state? Doesn't he love his kids? That will be tough on them too. Red, good timing to take time with them, and for you, kudos.

Not as far as I know - I looked the fellow up, and he looks nothing like me, so I'm quite confident I'm not him. I don't understand the reference though?

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

I guess we will have to explain "claws and antlers" to these fine folks eventually.

Roger Clemens is one of the greatest pitchers in the history of baseball, just like Lady said. He was accused of using steroids by one of his teammates. When asked about that in a congressional hearing, Clemens said his teammate must have "misremembered".

Here is a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFXYGNStAH0[/video]]CLEMENS MISREMEMBERS

All the late night talk show hosts and talking heads blasted him. So when you said, you misremembered, it reminded me of this incident.

No, I'm definitely not him, I watched part of the video.

Although my physique was achieved through chemical means, it wasn't steroids, that's for sure!

You want the long conspiracy response?

In my state we have implemented a law that mandates that all prepuscent girls MUST receive a vaccination for a sexually transmitted disease. (In this same state we do not allow discussion of birth control or safe sex practices, only discussion of abstinence, in any public forum.)
The vaccine is new. The politicians were very convincing in that this vaccine would save, well, something. It doesn't save lives. It doesn't protect from irresponsible (or teenage) behavior. It doesn't really do anything other than make sure that girls who are actually sexually active don't get this particular STD. But ALL girls must have it by the age of 12. In my fine state.

The vaccine has side effects, it turns out. And is now under fire. The politicians (who may or may not be more wealthy because of their support) are now back-pedaling. The vaccine may be recalled.

I would move if my daughter was 11.

Supply? hmmmm. I literally wipe out my pharmacy when I refill. So now I call in advance. I'm not suggesting that this indicates a lack of bac in the city or country or world. I'm just saying that this aspect also needs to be taken into consideration when continuing high-dose-bac treatment.

And more on supply? My legal supply of bac comes from a man in a different state who is, well, walking a fine line. I'll leave it at that. I'm going to order more bac-ups today since I've done absolutely nothing about finding a doctor locally! Maybe I'll work on that, too?
                            So time to log off!
jkttp, Red. You're awesome. And anyone who disagrees can well, you know.

I was in a biology class when all the flurry regarding the vaccine was going on. The professor said that it will eliminate cervical cancer. I knew right away that it could not eliminate all forms, like the one contracted by DES daughters at a rate of near 100%. DES was prescribed left and right until the cancer starting popping in the girls in adolescence. Then the sons continue to grow, and it became clear that DES seemed to cause pretty severe and permanent hormonal changes that resulted in mass gender confusion and unhappy people. It was scary to see the push for the vaccine move so fast and furiously because, in truth, they had no flippin' clue what the long-terms effects would be.

                              Big phrama strikes again.

I was going to amend my digression. Sorry for that. My point is that money makes medicine. Politicians and decision makers follow the money.
Which is a long way of saying that I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments expressed here. I worry for Dr OA that someone will tweak bac enough to make his claim to the discovery null and void. But I don't know enough about that stuff, and I do know who gave me a new lease on life.
So 'nyah' big pharma and the man. I'm one up, and only several thousand down. But a very important one up.
