I am sorry... I will stop hijacking your thread. It appears as though a few people are very disturbed and angry about life's issues. It looks like this thread is going to turn into another flame war instead of a journal about baclofen. This will inevitably cause the thread to be closed or cause people trying to find information have to read through pages of insecurities. For that reason, I am sorry to have taken up any page space and will no longer respond to any person's issues on here.

        It's Red's thread!

Red, I LOVE those Michael Jackson songs! So appropriate. Now you have me listening to them as I try and do my month end spreadsheets.
I should have asked Archibald to communicate with him while I had the chance.:dang:

          G?day,

I?m Slipstream. Well, Slipstream 2 for the minute.

I wonder can someone help me? I?ve been trying to log on for 2 days now to delete my recent post in the Laugh Out Loud forum. (Seeing as the other 2 posts there have been deleted which makes mine irrelevant) Every time I log on, I get one of two messages: ?Page Not Found? or ? The server is too busy - please try again?.

Is this a technical glitch someone could help me get around? I?m a luddite. Any help would be appreciated.

I?d really like it to be a technical glitch because otherwise I?m thinking I?ve been banned due to mistaken identity. I noticed conclusions had been jumped to and I morphed into Murph after I posted the other day. At least I think I did. If "Slipstream - Murphy, one in the same" means one and the same. Anyway.

I?m not Murphy. Don?t know him, he doesn?t know me. Or didn?t know him, he didn?t know me. Guess I should use the past tense here seeing as he?s banned and I?m in some sort of limbo.

I didn?t like what I saw happen on Dr A?s 2 threads; I didn?t like what I saw happening on Murphy?s thread. And the other threads referring to what was happening on Murphy?s thread. When a newbie lurker joined in to voice their opinion, I figured the time had come for me to do the same. Even though really, truth be told, I?m a lurker, not a fighter.

Anyway, I hope I?m not banned - it?ll have been a brief stay! And a miscarriage of justice seeing as I?m not Murph, I merely quoted an offensive joke and I haven?t received an email to say I?m banned or anything.

All technical assistance re logging on will be gratefully received.

Oh, and one other little thing that?s been bugging me. Verbal abuse doesn?t LOOK like anything. According to Wikipedia, there?s no visible proof.

          Keep the faith
          Slipstream

heya slip, and welcome again! good luck w your tech issues, can't help you there, i'm a luddite, too. you should see my garden! but i am SURE you are not banned!

so, i wasn't going to engage one bit in the nonsense, but i can't resist. dork, have you ever read a book? you know in the acknowledgements part at the start, where the authors thank their contributors? have you ever noticed how many of them remark that there are too many to mention, but they'll make a stab anyway? you get my point, i think, and i'm sure you have read a book or two. add to that the fact that cass's list of posters and thread-havers was long and perhaps you could've been one of those mentioned without realizing it. she said something about a few women who think they're smart (i might be in that category, most days). maybe you could include yourself there?

the thing about being reminded of what "not" to do, well, it seems you're the expert on that. so whyn't you just keep coming 'round (murph wouldn't have used the apostrophe there, but im amurrican. oh wait, did i spell that right???) and telling us what we're doing wrong. that might just help our recovery into being positive contributing members of society. you never know. one statement from one soul can change our lives. (i've written about that on my thread. maybe you've read it? if you have, great, then you'll know just what i mean! but it's okay if you don't want to go over there. i won't be hurt. and i'll still feel very safe.)

i'm gonna have to talk to my mother about forgiveness on the one where you said that murph posted his remarks 'just to get a rise' out of certain members. i know alkies can be narcicisstic, but PHULEEZE! he was operating in his usual ironic, tongue-in-cheek fashion, and people who got risen from that, though they would've pleased him greatly had they told him so, obviously came in on the conversation mid-paragraph and didn't know to put a grain of salt in their ears.

but no worries, murph won't be around to dispense his 'wisdom', as you so gratuitiously qualified it. did you not know? he's been banned. i thought you had something to do with that. anywhoot, i don't know why you think zork is murph. you must be daft! i thought he was at first, too, but then i came to my senses.

anywhoot, i thought i would contribute naught to this silly banter, but there, i've gone and done so anyway. hope it helps. and let's try to make nice around here, shall we? we don't want to scare away any newbies.

This is all so sickening. For those of you admonishing people to play nice when you clearly are flamin trolls as well, well, let's hope the newbies DO NOT learn from any of you.
