    Rudy,
I responded to someone who bad mouthed Murph and I should have either been off line or ignored it and let it go away. I told Murph to leave when the heat started but you know Murph. Chivalry I believe is Red's term.
Redthread, Cass had NOTHING to do with this. He was and is trying to keep us together.

Is, thanks on the house stuff. The drought has killed us here. I am trying to keep my grass any color but dead:-). My water bill is about to reach the deficit!

It's all gonna be okay. Let Murph back you idiots that let him go. Reading is fundamental.
    Read. Please read.

    Love all of you!
    LL:l

Speaking of idiots, your thread has dropped to a 3. I believe the last 3 IDIOTS grading your thread have never read it.
Lol... everyone's threads dropped thanks to a few select people... but I still think you're a 5 star. Murph rules, end of story. Good luck to you lushy

lots of people on here have an extra amount of time and a minimal amount of brain power to spare. It shows in their posts and their ratings. Keep your head up and know that lots of people could care less about the rating and want to read the experiences.

this has GOT to be quick cause i should be asleep. i have a cold yet i MUST go to work. no three am smokes for me. (btw, red, how's the smoke-quit going?)

i'm tossing and turning in part because i keep thinking about all the people who checked in on murphy's thread every single day as a way to keep going. i am sure there were many for whom it was the needed dose of levity. some of these people might never come back here again and who knows what will become of them as a result. i don't think i'm being overly dramatic. maybe just a little. it really pisses me off.

would someone please tell me how to contact the moderators?

i'm off to take grapefruit seed extract, which many times has killed a cold in its tracks. wish me luck. the shit tastes nasty! (multiply the bitter in india pale ale times a million: that's
                    gse.)

Ru, I would be at 2 weeks smoke free. But I'm not. I've snuck some and I'm not too happy about it. I best stop sneaking or I'm going to be back to a full-time smoker in no time. It's just damn hard. I still feel irritable and blue. The first thing I think of when stressed, or as a reward after work is smoking. And MWO has become a stressful and hostile environment of late.

My coughing started out with a cold like yours. It progressed to wheezing and severe coughing (bronchitis and later I sounded like I had pneumonia) because I have asthma. It is mild, but does show up if I get a virus. Which is why I need to stay off the smokes! I still have a vicious cough now.

You take care of yourself Ru. Can you take a couple of days off if you need to?

I don't know how to contact the moderators. I looked and don't see an easy way. I know it's there and with a little time and effort I'm sure I could figure it out. The question is, has anyone asked Murphy if he'd want to come back? I don't know, but it seems like he'd be constantly scrutinized, and he would need to change his humor and the way he posts. Maybe he wouldn't want to. Maybe he's had it too. It would be a constant battleground.

You are not being overly dramatic when you think of all the people who checked in there, and how unfortunate it is, that it and he are gone. I think we're all grieving Murphy's loss. I'm in the anger stage, although I'm starting to move forward. My thread has become an outlet for the grieving, I think. Which is fine by me. It's healthy for us right now. Whether it pisses others off, I don't give a crap. What do people expect when they contribute to one of our favorite members getting kicked off? We are hurt!

Bruun, I responded to your question and then deleted it. I wanted to re-read Murphy's thread first, to see if you could read what happened. It's all mostly there if you're wondering. Minus the psychic Archie.

Luscious and Is, Tracey got kicked off because she kind of lost it. She started posting all sorts of angry stuff. I'm not so sure she should have been kicked off, but she did go crazy. Tracey was convinced Otter was posting under different identities.
Yeah, that is true, I'd forgotten how insane things got with that situation. She was the one that came back posting with different identities, if I recall correctly. And that was her second time around on the forum too. Both times she started off seeming very helpful and together, etc., only for things to end up getting... well, weird, for lack of a better word!

A comma is correct. Though you don't need it after Is, only after Ru. The "and" takes the place of the comma between me and Redhead. You follow the same format there as if you were only listing 2 people - "Is and Redhead". Yup, I'm a grammar dork!

Six pack abs? Boy, do I want them. I think it's absolutely awesome you have them Ru. If you want to post pics, I'm sure 'everyone' would love to see. To make Is and Redhead feel better, I will say this. I couldn't help but notice in your pics Is, that you have some attributes on your frame. I do too. I'm thin now, but I have said attributes. A coworker commented on it the other day. Maybe it's possible to have a flat belly (or flatter in my case, we are our own biggest critic), but not be able to obtain a six pack with said attributes? I don't know, but that's what I tell myself. We win some and we lose some, right ladies?
Very delicately put! And yes, we are our own worst critics! My guy friends roll their eyes when I complain about the few pounds I've put on since I got back from my trip and when I say that my stomach isn't as flat and hard as I know it can be. They say, "But you're still skinny!" Well, damnit, I know I can be BETTER! :H

I hope the grapefruit seed extract works for you! What I always turn to when I'm starting to get sick is Emergen-C, 3-4 times a day. Even if it doesn't keep me from getting sick completely, the duration and symptoms will be MUCH reduced. A few weeks ago when I was starting to get sick, I was making these super food shakes, with all of the good immune boosting stuff I could think to put in it - Greens Plus, Maca powder, coconut oil, chia seeds, coconut water, frozen berries - mixed with a frozen banana and some stevia, it wasn't half bad either! And the next day, I woke up feeling great!

oh god, i've run out of emergen-c and i can't find my vit c. but thanks for reminding me: i'm off for more gse. i'll put some cider vinegar in my h2o for vit c, but it won't be nearly enough. and red, you sound just like me with the lung issues; i'm exactly the same.

is, i don't disagree w you one bit on the comma thing. your way is correct. however, acc'd to one grammar book at least, either way is correct (that is, with a comma before the 'and'). most people don;t use it, to be sure. but i often do, depending on exactly what i'm trying to convey. i'm sure i'm a much BIGGER grammer dork than you. (not to be competitive, just deferential. playing it safe these days.)

nice to check in on this friendly thread. i'm taking the day off w my son tomorrow. we both have low fevers. he'll be so BUMMED: he's going to miss his apple-picking field trip. he loves going places with his class. i'm so bummed for him. stupid viruses.

...but they can help you quit smoking. day one for me... red, congrats, a couple of sneaks does not a smoker make! i know you'll be careful.

                            love yu'all.

Damn English. Is there any rule without an exception?! :H Thanks for clearing that up, Rudy.
The idea to treat the last 2 items in the list as though they are the only 2 items made sense to me. Sort of the same way you figure out if you should use "I" or "me" in a sentence in which you are referring to yourself and at least one other. Take the other person (or people) out of the sentence and see whether I or me sounds correct. Anyway!

Red, I had read the Murph thread bofore saying "what the hell happened here" if that's the question I posed you meant to answer. What fun is it without that thread? If people can't stand the drama in meds, don't read the meds especially if you're just being a voyeur. The mob mentality makes me ill. I had to agree meds can be harsh, which is too bad, but stay out of the sandbox since its not where you live anyways.
