not to mention, and this is for real, the belly. Or lack of it. But if I have a belly like that the rest is going to go too. I'd be very sad. So would Ed, I think. So... tmi?

i think i need to set the record straight. i have a 'private' well. (that sounds so sophisticated and adult-ish.) so, it's not up to my country to give me water. (god bless ahmehrika!) i bought 27 acres where the water table is full of water but also full of the shit i mentioned before. it's not toxic, but it does all of the tings i described before (not meaning to sound like a rasta sistren there; can't be bothered to correct but can be bothered to write alla dis, re 'tings'). it's not up to my gov't to take care of my water (thank god, as they'd prob put floride in it or some other craziness!). it's up to me. and i have to say, my hair is fluffier and lighter already as a result of taking out alla dem minerals. it's true, my hair is more beautiful. now, if only i could get this better water to make my boobs bigger. ...but we're not supposed to talk about that stuff on here any more.

I get a notice every year. It is from the water company. I guess I have radon in my water and they have to divulge it to us. It reads that while my water contains radon, a known carcinogen, it will probably be okay. It is only a problem if exposed to it long term. :H Here's the thing. I built this house 8 years ago. I'm still getting the notices. They state they are working on the problem. How long term does one need to be exposed to this shit? I would buy an expensive water filter, although radon is a gas, and I'm not sure if it would filter a gas? Instead, I'm just going to abandon the house. :H Not so funny, but kind of.This Princess Saved Herself

I used to have to supply radon reports for a previous business I ran. Radon is everywhere, we inhale minute quantities of it all the time. It's a matter of the density that's of concern. Red, did the notice say what the concentration was? It can be much higher in water than air before it's a problem.

There is a simple way to solve all this - move to Zimbabwe. We live about 300 metres from the reservoir, and get municipal water about 1 month out of the year. The rest of the time, nothing.
Everyone has boreholes as a result, which is great, except it's not. The water table goes down quicker because of this, so now you need a deeper borehole. Soon, only the super-wealthy will be able to afford the 200 metre deep boreholes, but that's okay, because then the water table should start to rise again.
And we're okay - the water testing company went out of business a few years back, so now our water is fine. Well, it's see-through, so we regard that as fine.

you guys and gals are too much.
