I have to agree UKB, although many people have had good results while drinking on bac, it's always better not to drink. And to get in the habit of not drinking or drinkthinking. It's too dangerous a tipping point to take the chance. I don't think we should do anything but support each other whether we drink or not, but I don't think giving someone struggling permission to drink is healthy.

I'm not saying whether he should drink or not, just that I don't think Bleep is aware of Trucker's recent history - which has been documented in the Need Help ASAP section above.
I have had cravings today and have considered drinking whilst taking Baclofen, since "it is ok". I've had to fight that idea since I know how much harder this all is with enhanced side-effects, and the possibility that I'll open the flood-gates again. I'd rather keep them closed for now. Extremely tempting indeed though, but I have a good idea once I start I'll go to that dark place I was in a few weeks ago with it all. Hopefully Trucker will come back to us with some good tales, but I've a funny feeling here.

i feel for u
'beer gives me a buzz but i hate bingeing'
Totally get that....Been a chronic binger all my life.....needless to say, it all kicks off as soon as I drink....but I can't resist that first drink.....YETw
Getting to a cure
It just a matter of time.
sounds like you should titrate up slowly but just know you will get there.
Best of luck....I am well and truly in recovery, I thank Baclofen, the good people of MWO and my love of spirituality, the combination of which have helped to guide me out of the darkness in the last couple months. Cheers to that.

Hi TracyA, I Think bleep used the teh instead of THE lol. Yes i heard about the se's..I had none at 30 mg a day so im doing 40 mg for now and move up gradually, I so much wanna have a few ice cold beer's at night but going to aa and so far there keeping me honest about how i can't drink like normal ppl can,I do tend to binge when i start soooo if Baclofen can make me feel indifferent to al this would me a miracle to me and other alkies, not saying anyone else in here is a alkie speaking of me. I just like buzz and relaxing effect's never want it to get out of control. Anyway i will continue to post and keep in touch.Trucker
