Couldn't tell you Lush - it's only recently I actually discovered what a calorie is, never really bothered about that sort of thing.

Know laughing is good for you though, that's enough for me!

      hmmm.
I LOVE baclo-exercise. I liked to exercise before, but this is a whole new world. Being fit is also very important to me. It makes me feel strong in many ways too (LL).

However, in the throes of moving up the baclo-ladder I could barely get off the couch. I think what finally motivated me was sheer anger and frustration. And pent up bac-energy.

I couldn't sit still, couldn't watch tv, couldn't read. Was working through all this personal angst based on 20+ years of drinking. I started walking. Sometimes at midnight. Sometimes for miles.

Then I started RUNNING. And that felt REALLY good. Now my pants don't fit. Not even the skinny jeans. In a good way. And I'm not even on a schedule about it at the moment.
(The following is not meant for the exercise-gurus, Gear. Sorry to digress...)

Eyes on the goal, bac and sobriety, was more important for me. There were definitely times when I thought I'd pushed my body too hard, even with just minimal exercise. I was exhausted, not sleeping well, it was all I could do to remember to take the bac.

Lo0p did and continues to inspire me to achieve better fitness. But he didn't start his fitness routine until he was well on the way to indifference.

Good news to report regarding baclo-excercise. Today, I awoke bright eyed and bushy tailed, and thought, today I'm going to exercise. That would be a thought I have every day since I started taking bac, but hence, the lethargy would be too overwhelming. Not so today my friends. I actually acheived it. I can't say I had any sort of awakening, but I did do pretty well considering it's been like 5 weeks since this ball of flesh has done a thing. So, it turns out, they aren't lying after all. I'm now on 100 mg btw, and the spark is coming bac!

I've had days where it took every single last ounce of my energy to drive to the gym. I'd sit there for five minutes in the parking lot trying to gather up the motivation to go in (dead tired). Finally I'd just do it.

Sometimes on those days I have some of my best workouts and go home energized and feeling like a million bucks!

            Baclo-biceps

I badly borked up my ankle, knee, and left wrist a month ago (after a drink binge I went out the next morning) I slipped and fell.

Tore the tendons in my left wrist. Twisted My ankle, and buckled my knee.

A month later my wrist is healing, I've had a hour long massage today to reduce the final swelling in my knee, and going for needle therapy (not acupuncture) for my knee, and ankle. Back to running on Thursday.

Exercise kicks the arse out of Bac insomnia. And has to be done.

Twenty years ago, on my way from downtown to hometown after work, I used to chug a hot Coors Lite on the freeway. In the parking lot, I'd pour the Coors into an empty Diet Coke can and drive to the gym. In looking back, I think I needed the carbs, I didn't eat enough, I always felt like I was going to fall asleep after work unless I went to the gym. Then I'd get anxiety over people watching me get ugly and red, and sweaty. So I would wake up. Or maybe it was the beer. I remember tylenol with codeine helped me get to the gym too. Could go for some odat now.
