    Losing my memory

    Stress often causes failure of data to make it into short-term memory, and there is also the issue of distraction brought about by life's "little moments." Also, sometimes when we are under stress we just don't pay as much attention as we might have.

    Being in the 50's could be part of it as well, as could PAWS. I got sober in my mid-40's, and had some vagueness for several months. Now that I'm in my late 60's I notice short-term loss more and more, but I've been sober now for a long time and I can't blame it on that.

    I suggest worrying less about nutrition and taking a course in meditation. If you can't do that, there's an article at digital-dharma.net/buddhism/how-to-meditate/ that might be of some help. Meditation is the best possible way to offset stress.
