    Does Baclofen harm any organ like Liver,Kidney,Heart etc?

    Just a curiosity !
    We all agreed it gives side effect but is that effects are from burden on any organ?
    Just for discussion and share of experience.

    2012: Continuous AF for 7 months from May to Oct.

    Big Relapses : 6th November and 12th December 2012.

    2013 : So many ups and down !!

    2014: Has a conviction to stay with a healthy life.

    Come on now! The kidney(s) takes the blunt of it. Our liver has suffered enough. I believe our heart gets a push from everything we ingest. Smarter minds will come but I believe Baclofen is the prayer for those that have liver damage due to alcohol abuse in the past. No blah, blah, please. Alcohol, liver or life? I made my choice.

      As Lush says, the kidneys bear the brunt of the baclofen, although whether they are damaged or not in the process, I couldn't say. It is regarded as a safe drug, but hasn't been tested to the levels we go to, so I can't really say. Hopefully a few of the medical minds will weigh in here.

            Baclofen is not toxic to internal organs, also at high doses. It has been tested in a clinical trial in patients with liver cirrhosis with no problems at all. It's mainly excreted unchanged by the kidneys, but that of course doesn't mean it harms them. Many neurological patients - who have quite some health issues - get baclofen.

            I took up to 600mg! daily and my blood work and other tests remained normal.
