In addiction, suppression of symptoms should suppress the disease altogether since addiction is, as he observed, a "symptom-driven disease". Of all "anticraving medications used in animals, only one - baclofen - has the unique property of suppressing the motivation to consume cocaine, heroin, alcohol, nicotine and d-amphetamine"

Ditto the thanks, Otter. I really appreciated your taking the time to do that, as it's very relevant, imho, to my personal experience with bac.
      xo!

I find this stuff so intriguing, I'm torn about whether or not I have time to pursue it properly.

There is something to an analysis of the endocrine system and the amygdala and the differences we are experiencing with bac. I think.
I am no medico, for sure, though and it it looks like we've been using the word titrate lo these many months rather incorrectly.

ti?trate (ttrt) v. To determine the concentration of a solution by titration or perform the operation of titration.
Titrate — To analyze the best end point (for dose) for a medication.

(Not, for example, to titrate up or down, but to find the right amount. or to neutralize...) but maybe I'm just being obtuse. Still. again
