Well forlks after what seems like a wait forever I am getting my bac today. I am nearly 5 weeks AF and intend to start slowly at 5mg a day and go from there. I am going away for a few days tomorrow and dont want bad side effects while Im away. Also I dont think I will have access to come on-line. After the awful time I have had with cravings and anxiety over the past few weeks I cant wait to get started now.

You've read through the threads, so you know what to expect. 5mg's shouldn't tock your world, you are right to go into it gently.

Good luck folks. I took bac after becoming AF and it seemed to help with alcohol cravings. I usually only took up to 25 mg per day, all as one afternoon dose. I didn't have any serious problems with baclofen, up to that dosage anyway. I was still able to drive safely, socialise, and do occasional evening work shifts. Women may react differently but I'd say you won't mind taking the drug since it also helps reduce anxiety. I only tried high-dose bac a few times but you should get there ok if you increase it safely

Thanks for the replies, it really cheers me up and gives my self esteem a boost that you all want to talk to me. Well, I have got my bac and just took around 1/2 hour ago my first 5mg and feel good so far quite chilled.

Am just off to bed now, its 11.25pm and Im feeling relaxed and like Im ready to go to sleep but not exhausted like I usually am, I have even washed and moisturised my face properly which I cant normally be bothered doing, even when AF. Today I have had 15mg in 5mg x 3 at 4 hourly intervals. I did intend to only take 5mg today but did not really feel any effect after the first 5mg.

Anyways goodnight I hope I get a good sleep.

Cool, you have begun. I wouldn't expect immediate results, it will just frustrate you! Things will happen with baclofen, there is no rush.

Hi folks, Im back from my hols, had a great AF time with my family. I am now taking 30mg bac a day with no real SE's except for tiredness, but I was tired all the time before. While I was away I only thought of drinking 2 times and took and bac then realised later that I had just not thought of it since.

Great news Space! Responding to such a low dose is fantastic, it probably means you won't have to go too high in your search for indifference. When are you planning on increasing your dose?

I agree with bleep, responding to such a low dose and going AF right from the gate sounds like a GREAT start! Good for you!
