I am starting a new thread about my second attempt at Baclofen.

As I begin this journey, I am nervous because of one single SE I get from Baclofen:

Sleep paralysis. I can't describe how frightening that experience is.

However, I will do as lo0p, Beatle and Bleep have recommended. I will titrate up much faster than earlier planned.

I will go up 10 mgs every three days.

My bags are packed, I have my multitude of drugs gathered up and ready to go, my BP cuff and diapers in the suitecase. sigh.

Hopefully, this thread will go past the point of my indifference.

Thank you all in advance for the support and help I will get from you on this journey. You are a very brave and kind group of people.

Cross your fingers I can avoid the sleep paralysis somehow.

I was really hoping that you were going to start a thread!

I learned a lot from you from what you posted the first time. Thank you for that.

I can't imagine that particular SE and am still frightened by the idea. I'm sure that this time it'll be different. Fingers and toes are crossed, too.

I almost bought a rubber-backed mattress pad, because we bought a new mattress last summer just before I started again. (3 times for me.) They're so expensive that I put it off, and your solution seems much more reasonable!

We're with you for the whole ride, and waiting for you at the station!

It is so nice to have people who care and are rooting for this.

Hubby thinks I am crazy and is not supportive at all. My attitude is that hubby is not an alcoholic and has no idea.

Ne, I have a rubber mattress pad on the bed. But hubby does not appreciate it when he wakes up wet. What a mess. What an SE. But something I CAN deal with. Diapers and a rubber mattress pad.

btw, I only paid $30 for mine. I say only, to me it was worth it to save an expensive mattress.

Zenny, last time I got up to 140 mgs/day. Boy was that tough.

I am going to do as suggested here, if I have really bad SEs, I will titrate up rather than down or stay at the same level. It sounds like this drug has some strange SEs and responses to change in level.

With all of you there to vent to, ask, and cheering me on, this time I will do it. Period.
