      Morning Alexan.

Glad you're back this morning, never had any doubts but it's good to see you.

Not Taking Any Today -- Need Answers to This Never-Ending Perpetual Brain Fog

          :tonguemonkey:
Ha. I don't really know, you guys. I didn't really have a problem titrating up -- its just that I just hate staying on any dose whatsoever. Despite titrating up to 340mg, my SEs weren't anywhere as severe as when I first went from 0 - 140mg. The only weird one is the electric shocks and that was why I had stopped/gone down to a low dose the first time -- but this time around, however, I knew that was normal so it didn't really bother me and I kept going up.

I was mostly okay -- but the one SE that really bothers me is this lazy, useless, floaty feeling (or is it even an SE? or maybe how everyone continues to feel forever?).

But I hadn't been out of my place in almost 2 weeks and I have been able to get absolutely NOTHING done. Nothing at all. I have issues making phone calls, Concentrating on anything. This issue NEVER went away. I just don't know what to do. If I would feel close to normal at any dose whatsover, I would be happy... but the second I take even a little bit of it, my brain turns into a fog.

I just stopped taking it completely yesterday because I had so many things piling up that needed attending to (I didn't have any withdrawals either). The dishes in the sink, the huge bag of laundry, phone calls I needed to make -- Its gross but I hadn't even taken a shower in four days, much less the gym I haven't seen in weeks.

Problem is I wish I could say that Bac had "enhanced" my life in any way. It hasn't. Seeing that I never drank every day to begin with, I got a lot of things done in general.
I have now been on this for almost two weeks and my whole life has come to a complete standstill. I wish I could describe how it is: I have even been drinking more, and then more so out of the need to alleviate the unhappy fog my head was in than anything else.

My alcohol problem was mostly with binge drinking on random occasions. Its not like I was consuming 10 units every day -- its just when I did, I went crazy. ...And I had my share of a few benders of 3-4 days initiated by a night of hard drinking; but when I was sober, I was sober and my life didn't come to a complete standstill.

I really don't know what to do.

I can understand how if someone just can't stop drinking, how living life as a vegetable by taking bac would be a better option; but if one doesn't drink everyday to begin with, how can being a vegetable forever be better?

I haven't read the full thread, just your last post, but am I right in saying that you went from 0 to 340mg in 2 weeks and you feel foggy and unmotivated? What did you expect to happen?

Alexan does sound a lot like me apart from the fact he's titrated double the level I did, and in half the time.

                          Seriously Alexan

I think your 'experiment' was foolhardy and this attitude will get you or someone else in trouble someday. If you're looking for kicks, this is really not the best place to be.

I think I don't know enough about your alcohol history to comment much more.

I think you've helped to demonstrate that baclofen is often a very forgiving drug

um. wow. I thought I had something to say, but the words aren't coming. Not any nice ones, anyway.

This thread would be from the chapter on "How not to take bac in order to find indifference."

                            Be well, Alex.

Dude. Quick titration ain't for everyone, obviously. My advice - start over. Try going up in regular increments just a TAD more slowly. Maybe do some more reading here to see what kind of a ride others have had and what their experiences have been.
Writing off baclofen after giving it a half assed run for 2 weeks? Well, see the above replies, all of which I concur with.

I've been on bac since September. In December, I was still falling asleep at 9pm while sitting upright watching TV most nights. I did have a lot of fuzzy afternoons at work too, among other SEs. I found ways to cope as best I could and pressed on. It's only been in the last couple of months that the SEs have GREATLY abated. You gotta be in this for the long haul. Baclofen might be a magic pill, but it's not a quick fix.

That's all I have time to offer at the moment.

Switched at 180mgs of Baclofen on 1/31/11, and again on 10/8/11 at 200mgs.

Maybe in return for his time, you can give him some tips on getting his career started in fitness modeling.
