    just got my own bac!

Growing your own food is cool isn't it? I'm harvesting strawberries at the moment and they are sooooo delicious; a thousand times tastier than anything you can buy in the shops. I'm still going to have to buy strawberries for my strawberry and mango smoothies though, because the home grown ones are just too good to mix.

bac at you with all the gushing, ftr. I could go on, but it would just make you uncomfortable. Rock on, sister! About all of it, also ftr. Especially the garden. i couldn't be bothered this year which is very ironic, having spent the last two years preparing it for *this* year. I'm going to sow some seeds with a friend this week, though, actually and metaphorically, if she'll play in the dirt with me.

The beer and indifference and the bac? Woohooo to the bac. Sometimes our system works, you know? Very kind of you, about wishing you could share... (roc on!)
But if you're still drinking, you're still drinking. I know you know, just wanted to put it out there. Simply so you can be amazed when you're not and it's effortless. Effortless, mind you!

i keep forgetting. lo siento. is that right?

ha. what murphy said. including about the being knackered and being half-arsed, whatever that means.

ne, lo siento does mean i'm sorry, but i've no idea what you're sorry for...

yep, i'm still drinking. i guess that's true. i had a few days there when i thought i was done. guess not. i love the belief that it'll be effortless. i'd never have the courage to think this way if i didn't have you loyal people here cheering me -each other- on.

i have a friend who was (until she got pregnant -again) a serious problem drinker. she's very wary of taking medicine. she's in nursing school

(i just hollered to the weekend neighbors to turn their fucking radio down ...and they did! how cool is that?! how dare they disturb my birdie chirping evening? and they decided not to. nice!)

...she's in nursing school and is (eerh, the turned it back up!)

...ah, who cares?! my point was that i don't like to have to justify or explain any of this to anyone. so i don't talk about it much, which does'nt come naturally to me. good for me.

pretty deer over there in the other weekender neighbors' driveway. frickin tick-bags. gave my son lime diesease.

glad this is my thread, so i don't feel guilty for such a disjointed, self-absorbed post.
more later. perhaps i'll go to bed soon, and be somewhat functional tomorrow. it is hoped.

that 'white hot need' is back. out of nowhere (ok, probably hormone related). just to keep you all (murph) in the loop, i've put a distress call out to my special bald younger friend, the one i don't need to think about unless he's under me in bed. scant details to follow. no pictures.

wow, a lot has happened here quite quickly! rudy, i STILL drink out of habit, despite being relatively indifferent to the whole thing. it's all just a function of dose, and yours sounds like you are getting to the right one.

mrs bleep is an avid gardener, so we also get fresh produce all the time, it's much nicer than any purchased stuff. i have given up inviting people for dinner though, the 10 000km one way trip tends to overshadow the promise of a fresh tomato upon landing.

bleep, you must have local friends...

i'm up to 130 mg and i'm exhausted! making a fool of myself after lunch, asking students for toothpicks to keep my eyes open. but i'm sleeping at night still, and that's a beautiful thing.

I started reading this today, and writing a response, but when I went back, I couldn’t find the thread or the post where it was. (And I’m just on my first beer.)

You knew you would lure me in, didn't you Rudy?

There's a reason why this is confusing. As usual, the Brits and the Americans choose to do things differently. Oppositely. Basically, the Brits put the punctuation on the outside, and Americans on the inside. Fairly predictable.

So I have developed my own rule, which seems to appease everyone, and it really makes sense, too (which makes it easier to convince those who get all up in arms about serious stuff like this:H).

As always, though, consistency is key.

                      SO,
This is the beatle rule of commas and quotations:

If it is a direct quotation, the punctuation goes inside the quotation marks:

"If we can hit that bullseye, then the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards... Checkmate," said Mr.Brannigan, showing acute prowess in the use of mixed metaphors.

If it is a term, a catch word, made-up word, or slogan, the comma goes outside the quotation marks:

In an effort to put a positive spin on its image after the rig exploded, the executive committee decided on the catch phrase “Spills R Us”, the humour of which was lost on the media and the public.

But as I said, it doesn’t really matter, as long as you are consistent.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

awesome, beatle! thanks so much. granted, i'll have to read your post a few more times, but it's very helpful, indeed. i knew you'd come through, so thanks. LOVE IT!

love this place. i'm forcing myself to bed early, so may this be the last of me you'll see for a little bit. (probably not, but here's to hoping for an early a'bed.)

Stick Syrup. Yes, folks! let's make syrup out of our sticks! (heck, i come from people who re-use wax paper. i can make syrup from sticks!) tell me if you share my vibe.

right, i came back to say that it's all about everything being pretty. 'todo me parece bonito' is most of what he says; 'everything seems pretty to me.' kinda how it feels to be on bac. ...and sung w that beautiful castillian accent. any spaniard lurkers out there?! whoop whoop! please come say hello.
