    just got my own bac!

Dammit Rudy, just your luck; even your new laptop doesn't have a shift key. Oh well, guess you'll just have to try and cope.

    Great to have you back.:l

BTW, Jiggered is British expression. In Scotland and North Eastern England it means tired. In the rest of Britain it is a more polite way of saying buggered. It can also mean drunk, but that's quite an obscure use of the word.

Okay then Murph, what is the exact meaning of buggered? I thought it was a derogatory reference to taking it in the ass. However I think I've seen other uses.

Yep, buggered comes from buggery. But like all swear words in Britain, it all depends on the circumstances in which it's used, the way it's said, to and by whom.
        Bugger off.
        You little bugger.
        I'll be buggered if...
        Bugger that.
All can be extremely mild, friendly expressions in the right circumstances but if said angrily they become extremely aggressive and offensive.

Anyhoo, I'm cream crackered and off to bed. Nighty night!

so glad to see that this thread is back on track!

my son woke up in the middle of the night.
          g: mama, i'm thirsty.
          me: here's some water honey.
g: mama, will i be hydrated?
          me: yes
g: i'm drinking a lot of water. i love water, do you?
          me: yes
then he went back to sleep.

i am eternally grateful to be sober and fully present to this precious jewel in my life. what a great good fortune that i have found baclofen and you folks to give us our lives back.

murph, home boy is four and three quarters. he is super-smart and retains all kinds of words and ideas that he hears, even if only once. (remember? he knows that china and india have huge populations.) one thing that his dad did give him is a very high iq. i helped with that, too. but i also give him a love of life, and a beautiful social nature through which he has an uncanny willingness to connect with adults, such that he calls them by name and asks them -with sincere interest- how they are doing today. his mental prowess also means he can fetch bad words from his noggin, doing things like call me a 'fucker' in a jokey spirit. i must really be more careful about what i say in front of him! (recently he said, in reference to not putting away his toy and risking its ruination, 'i'm not like my dad!' oops, rudy. his dad leaves tools lying around and can't find them if he needs them, oft requiring another purchase of said tool. i have remarked on this in consternation more than a couple of times.)

                just got my own bac!

last night i dreamed that my son and i were taking a walk along the country dirt road where i spent my teenage years. it was winter. in my dream he was only about three. there was a pack of people also walking, people we didn't know but who seemed friendly. g fell into a group and was walking with a nice lady. i was walking with a bike and decided to ride for a few. i came upon a big hill, and as i started to go down it, i realized that we had gone past our house and i needed to turn around. i also realized that the brakes didn't work. the hill would not end and i could not stop! at the bottom of the hill i used my feet to slow down. the rubber of my soles wore thin very quickly. i worked my way back up the hill, only to find g was no longer with the pack. i asked the nice lady if she knew where he was, and she informed that he had turned down a path, one which was in the direction opposite to where we lived. panic flooded in. i rushed to find him. images of him lying passed out and alone at the edge of a wooded path haunted me. fortunately, i then woke up and saw him right there next to me.

in the morning in the summertime we spend long moments talking before we get out of bed. (we oft still end up snuggling together at some point in the night or when he wakes up and joins me.) his voice is especially cute right now because he's a little stuffed up and his throat is a little constricted.

g dreamed that he was outside on a deck and it was pouring rain. i bought him an umbrella which he brought to school. a bigger kid, like a teenager, she was 18, was next to him. then his cousin took the legos away from him. in real life, his cousin just turned four, but in the dream he was only three.

in another part of my dream g's pre-k teacher was there. as an after thought, before i even told him that she was in my dream, he told me that he had dreamed about her. cosmic and cool!

He does seem very bright and a huge part of that is down to your relationship with him. Cool!

howdy my peeps! just woke up from a 2 hour nap with this song in my head. it's in spanish, yes, but the lyrics are basically 'don't let this broken world destroy your smile, kid'. the video is uplifting and full of beeeyutiful children and hot dudes! and the music stands on its own, even without understanding the lyrics.

hey rudy, haven't crossed paths in a while. seems you're well, which is always nice to see. what's struck me recently is the quantity of dreams you have. my wife is the same, she forever wakes up and says i was dreaming of.... you guys who dream are lucky. i cherish the odd dream i remember, every now and again, but they are rare.

i recently read through your thread from the start. it's a good thread. watching you climb mt improbable has been awesome, thank you! seeing how it has diverged from booze just sums the whole thing up perfectly.

god, bleep, you are a gem. i am honored that you'd read my whole thread! frick! i need you right now! just when i've been demoted to four stars and feel a bit boring... i LOVE YOU!

so, i've just now begun seeing snake blind spots in my vision. it's weird. i've heard that that's a se of dehydration. guess i should talk to my son about that.

dreamed about ne last night. nothing sexy or fun, but she wass- you were- there, fully present. hi karen!! so you know she and i are exactly the same age?! well, i;m 6 weeks older, which should explain nothing. (hope you don't mind my sharing that, k.)

i've gone up to 200 mg, and the se's are back, minus the fun hallucinations and waking dreams, alas. i'm tiired, but napping often cause i can. wee haw to that! love my naps in my son's super-comfy bunk bed that we painted rasta and christmas red and green.

this morn he told me something about my being a princess. this after my friend told me i WAS a princess (which i did not mention to my son). maybe we both have a bit of my nana's clairvoyance and telepathy.

ok, now the snakes are turning into rivers. am i going blind?! off to fetch some water spiked with bitters. ..

that's funny - in one of your first posts, you talk about seeing snake blind spots. still not sure what you mean, but have a look at the start of your thread...

                              Rudy,
Who the heck demoted you to 4 stars? I love reading this thread! I am going to figure out how to vote to change that! So naive in that respect. Bleep was always there for me too. Bleep, I went down and started the dreams again (YAY). I love the vivid dreams! I hated the lack of sleep and somnolence which were the worst SE's for me.
Rudy, you are an inspiration to all of us. Rough start for us but gracious throughout.

                              Thanks my friend:l

aww, lady, you're so cool! i was thinking about you today as i strolled by my stream, deepening on how very lucky i am to live here, and to live in the company of the likes of you.

thanks to whomever bumped me back up to five stars! i feel better now. i really do, if a little annoyed that it bugged me in the first place.

bleep, the blind wiggles are what i got when i was in fourth grade (about 9 yrs old) and fell off the swing and bumped my head on the hard top. (they've since changed it to rubber - the ground 'neath the swings, not my head.) i had to take a state test just after that happened but couldn't see the print for the stars that swam in my vision. snakes are like an upgrade from stars. wiggly golden places in your vision. at the moment, they have swum away and i appear NOT to be going blind. for that i am very thankful!
