    sober with a little help

I have been to a addiction doc. in Canada and he gave me naltrexone. I have been sober for 9 months now, and am currently not taking any meds. Originally, I went to see my doc. to get a script for balcofen and he would not give it to me, ironically though, he gave my husband a script for it for his drug use!! Unfortunately, my husband is back using.

Anyway, I can't say enough good things about Naltrexone. If you want to stop drinking, it really is worth the try.

    Best of luck, Wonka

Well done Wonka. It's always great to read about another one who has successfully climbed out of the pit!

Are you using naltrexone as per the Sinclair method, or another way?

I don't know the Sinclair way, I just followed what my doctor told me to do. Right now I am not taking anything, and have not been for about a month. If I am going somewhere where I think I might lapse or be tempted, then I will take a nal. that day.

Sometime I daydream about drinking again...but, then I just make a cup of tea.
