    TimberTim is in the House!

    Hi TT,

I had the same experiences you are. I would be so out of it and then I would take a bac nap, and it would be much better. I got more rest from the nap, than I did at night. If there's anyway you can schedule a nap in the day, it is very beneficial. As to the rest of what you're experiencing? I had all of that too. I couldn't function. I wasn't running a business at the time, though (except for the motherhood business). It got worse as I got closer. Don't give up TT. You're almost to the finish line.
    We're glad you're here.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of going up to 300 from 250mg. I may not want to drive anywhere, but no big deal. And I am able to usually fit in a nap during the day. And I think your right; it's very beneficial. I like to think it makes me smarter, too.:nutso:

I don't think there's any method to Murph's madness. He's just mad and lucky.

Well, the Lunesta is only working moderately well. I have been getting a good 5 hours of sleep, but that is all. What's crazy, and this has nothing to do with the Lunesta, is that my bac brain tells me it is a different time than what the clock says. For instance, this morning, I would have sworn, under oath in front of a judge, that my alarm had gone off and that it was 6am. I got up, put my clothes on for work and looked at the clock; it was fricking 4:30 in the morning. I almost went back to bed, but I knew I was already awake and wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. And this isn't the first time this has happened. It really pisses me off when it is a Saturday or Sunday. ull

I saw this emoticon and thought is was a good representation of me this morning: :ranger

5 hours? You lucky bastard. I've been dog tired the last few nights. So tired, I am literally falling asleep by 7pm, but keeping myself awake so I can try and get a full night in when I hit the sack. So I go to bed at midnight and each morning I'm wide awake by 4:30 and it's pissing me the fuck off.

I'm getting 5 hours, but I have to lie in bed for about 9 fucking hours to get it, so that's a real bummer. If I get up, I sleep much less, then it's a disaster.

I too am exhausted by 7pm, but if I go to bed then I wake up at 9pm, refreshed and ready for business. So I hang on until 10pm most nights, and sleep to midnight. This sort of shit carries on until I get up for work at 6am. Sometimes I get 2 sleeps in, sometimes 3, but I'm in bed for ages to get those little 2 hour sessions.

In the beginning, I used to be up and about during the awake bits, and it was groovy. Now it's painful and I want to sleep like a normal human being again!

I am going thru the same thing! I keep forgetting to take my Calms because I can barely keep my eyes open! It is struggle to stay awake longer than my son, then I sleep for a couple hours and am wide awake...

Note to self...put the Calms on the nightstand....

What the hell? Don't you guys take any sleep aids? I haven't found the right one yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to let you know.

Muph: If I'm a lucky bastard, what does that make you? A sorry bastard? (hehe) I feel your pain, dude. Just know that I will be experimenting with sleep aids to find that perfect one.

Wow! You guys were right! Going up quickly has really helped. I have been taking 40-50mg every couple of hours. And I was on fire todaynfire: Had plenty of energy and got a lot done. A little dazed and confused, but not too bad. Went up to 280mg today and going for 300mg tomorrow. Should be in good shape. Will let you know.

                        Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!:goodjob::crazymonkey:

I haven't found the right one yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to let you know.As it happens, I've just risen from 7 straight hours (not even any of the usual 2 hourly wake ups) thanks to Nytol (Benadryl in the States). It works for me only if I don't use it too often. I except you've tried it already, but if not it's worth a shot.

Tim, good that the dose increase helped; that's often, counter-intuitively, the case. However, I wouldn't increase again today now. You really don't want to increase every day. Remember, your brain needs a period of days to catch up with the increase and level out. Really at least 3 and more likely 5. Increasing every day may just store up problems that kick you in the arse down the line when your brain does catch up. And you may even miss your switch and be on a higher dose than you need. IMHO.

That's great to hear Tim! Baclofen is a weird drug. You feel shit on a particular level, who would possibly think that taking more of it would make you feel better?! What Murph says about levels and moving up is very true as well. It looks like 280mg's is a level that agrees with you anyway, why not take advantage of that, and have an enjoyable and productive few days at it while your brain gets used to it. Think of it as a short holiday.

I'd really only suggest skipping levels like you have done if you were struggling. It's no fun at all to be on a level that disagrees with you, as you have just seen!

Wow Murph. 7 hours! Not since the start of Project Baclofen have I done that. I have tried two different prescription sleeping pills, and at much higher than normal doses, to no effect, so now I have given up. Giving up is a remedy of its own, in a way. At least I can relax, and not go to bed every night desperately hoping my new plan will work.

waaaah, waaaah, waaah. I don't know what the problem is with you people and sleep. I sleep like a newborn babe.

Kidding, of course. It's the worst SE, in my opinion. (I do, however, sleep really, really well NOW, for the most part. W/O meds. But oy, sleep deprivation is lousy on MANY levels.)

Glad you found some relief, Tim. Really glad you went up! You haven't come this far to give it all up now! Plus you'd have to titrate down... And that would come with it's own pita repercussions, not the least of which would be the beast prying open the bars of the cage...

Taw, I've said it elsewhere, I'll say it again, you rock, sister!

Need you both, so keep on posting! Good stuff around here!

Have you tried Nytol yet? It's worth a shot. I would suggest a good shag to help you sleep, but I wouldn't be that insensitive. :H
