I'm not sure what I might do, maybe someone can make a suggestion....I have a surgery booked for Aug 3rd, and while I'm hopeful that the bac will have kicked in by then, I don't really want the dr aware I am taking it. Any thoughts or suggestons?

Just tell the doctor you are taking it, and the dose you are on by then. What harm is there? You don't have to tell him why you are taking it. I would be very reluctant to go into surgery without telling him!

yes, you must tell the doc! i understand your fear, what they might say, but it would be unwise to proceed without them knowing what other meds they're dealing with in your system. you've nothing to hide, and only yourself to protect!

... and please don't stop taking bac because of this! if it is helping to improve your life, keep on with it. rather take bac than whatever quantity of alcohol you were ingesting that made you start w bac in the first place. have the surgery you need to have, but take care of your core self, too.
