    Collection of known side effects of Baclofen that we can experience,

    Hi to All,

    I wanted to start this thread after experiencing Tinnitus at 80 mg of daily dose. I think it would be beneficial for everyone if we had a collection of symptoms (SE) that any of us experienced while on Baclofen. Please add your SE only, if you have verified that it was definitely from Bac. Also let us know if

    1) side effect went away.
    2) You are dealing with it.
    3) Made you quit Baclofen

    I was trying to find a thread like this but was not able. If there is a thread that is dealing with this, please just ignore this one. I think especially newbies can benefit from this type of information.

    Another problem is that the Consolidated Baclofen Information thread is no longer being bumped, and Lo0p has not yet published the website he has been promising.

      There is already a thread for this. If I were to list all of mine then I'd be here all day and newbies would be put off competely. Fortunately it appears most do not experience the same thing that I did. Basically none of my SEs went away, and I was unable to deal with any of them, and they made me quit baclofen, apart from the odd dose at bedtime.:H.

      Now I'm in a very good place with Naltrexone following the Sinclair Method and over the moon about it.

      Many here however have been able to manage their SEs and reach indifference with high dose Baclofen.

        I am sorry that I did not find that thread before I started this one.
        Even though I had Loop's consolidated thread bookmarked.
        I just did not look this morning.
        Anyway we can just let this thread die.

          When looking for older threads, I often use Google instead of the MWO search, which generally brings back wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too many results.

          As much as I love this place, it is in dire need of a makeover to haul it into modern times.
          I'll do whatever it takes

            Nothing beats Google!
            Even Yahoo became useless as a search engine now that the internet became so big.
            Most of the time it pulls up totally irrelevant information.
            Only those search engines worth anything that incorporates Google.
            So a search engine like MWO forum's can not be blamed too much, because it is a big task.
            But I agree with you!

                Collection of known side effects of Baclofen that we can experience,

                on day four now of Baclofen.
                Feel generally relaxed and sense of well being. Anxiety has reduced dramatically.
                Only on 30mgs yesterday, going up to 40mgs today.
                Also felt naseaus (sick) and sleepy yesterday and day before. Sleeping in a bit later than usual. Felt a bit dazed yesterday

                    Good to hear Rich. The stoned feeling is pretty normal. Glad to hear it's helping the anxiety, that for me didn't come until much higher doses. Can't say it interfered with my appetite, if anything I ate more.

                      I went BALD!!!!
                      1) Nope, still bald
                      2) I don't have a choice...goddammit!
                      3) Not much point now

                      To be fair I went bald about 30 years before starting baclofen, but I can't, with certainty, rule out a connection.

                        Been sleeping alot. Actually dropped off in front of the telly yesterday, and started 'nodding' at work (embarassing), which, being a chronic insomniac, I do not normally do unless I'm off my tits on heroin or benzos. My mum thought I had relapsed until I showed her the side effects of Baclofen.
                        Going up to 50ml today.

                          The list of my SEs was long. I jumped around, took it erratically, without a schedule, and titrated too slowly or too quickly. That last will get ya' every time.

                          hmmmm. Rich! So you went from 30 to 40 to 50 in the space of 3 or so days? What's up with that?

                          For the newbies and the lurking newbies:
                          I think we've pretty well established that you can mitigate Side Effects by going slowly up the bac-ladder. By taking it regularly and on a schedule.                           By sleeping during sleeping hours, and taking naps if/when you can. (The naps are short, but effective.) Rushing it will. not. help. Expect about 6 weeks. I think that's the average. or the mean. or the norm. or something. It's a good goal.

                            Talking about SEs - anyone heard of the one below? I found it on the Baclofen4alcoholism.com site. I'm female - but if wine dependent husband wanted to join me on bac, sober sex is alien enough without removing recreational confidence booster. Sounds scary! Cher X

                            Baclofen + Viagra = Death

                            It happens with other blood pressure lowering medicines,
                            so it WILL happen with Baclofen one day

                              Baclofen4alcoholism is a crap site run by a dick imo.

                              Personally I would ignore anything 'Dr' Phill says.

                              That said, I would always suggest you get yourself checked out by a doc before using viagra.
