    Seeing the doc tomorrow

So I'm on day 2 and have consumed 20mg's total. I just went for a walk in the sun(we see it 3 times a year here, Murph), and I felt high, like I was rolling on ecstasy, only much less intense. I haven't had the uncontrollable smiling that I've read about, but man it was a great feeling. I wonder what neurotransmitters were at play to make me feel like that. I'm gonna head down to the gym later and unfreeze my membership
Yup, that's another one of the good SEs! I'm in a titrating up phase right now and have been feeling like I took a bit of E myself. I never got that feeling on such low doses though! Seems like a good sign to me.

Hi BacloTim, I am one of those people who have started around the same time as you... 2 days AF! I'll keep posting and following yours also, and by all means I do hope Pete jumps in also! Good luck! There is only good, positive stuff here!

        hey slippery,

i, too, noticed a reduction of al craving immediately. ain't that promising? and, watch out for those cigs. don't worry your pretty (straight) head about it, but watch out: that nicotine is a grabber! i always smoked more when drinking, but now the irony is that i'm drinking less, but smoking more. eee ghads!

and hey, loOp, if you're gonna eat ice cream, at least you're eating the vermont kind. we're good at cold things there.

welcome timpete to a fast and zany ride!

Lo0p - That definetly seems like a great party trick. Very impressive.

And thanks Rudy for the support. I never woulda thought timpete would catch on, but I like it! haha

Iso I see you're in South Florida...What's it like living around the most hated sports team of all time? LeBron James is the only person ever I've loved to hate. Mavs all the way! haha

So I have a question about withdrawals. With the amount I drink, if I try to go a night without drinking, I'll have terrible nightmares and sweat up my entire bed, but I've never gone into seizures. I know that bac can ease withdrawal symptoms, but do you guys think that if I didn't drink tonight I'd actually be able to sleep and not have a horrible night? Thanks

You will. And if you're lucky you'll get some of the SEs Isolde's experiencing right now. Titrating up on bac doesn't have to be all tears and debilitating SEs; there's lots of fun stuff too. Even living in that dreary hellhole of yours you'll enjoy yourself.

Hey, good call on the Conchords. I've heard some of it on the radio, but I've been meaning to see the shows. I can't find a download site for it yet, but I'm still looking.

I don't know why your WA bashing makes me laugh so much, but it does...must be the bac!

And check out Vuze. It's a bittorent program that works like a dream. Perfect for downloading CD's and DVD's, including Flight of the Conchords.

ha ha, party trick! beats jello shots.

i LOVe flight of the conchords. i watched the two seasons (is there a third yet?) via netflix. sometimes they take things off instant play, tho, so i don't know if it's still available there. funniest stuff ever!

timpete, i almost applied to evergreen, it's my kind of hippie do your own thing place. glad i didn't. it would've been a long flight home to family, and i think the lack of sun would make me sad. good you can handle it, though. and i think murph must have similar weather in bedfordshire. so he's just commiserating i think.

that and i think he has a crush on you.

In fact as it?s American, it probably doesn?t realise there is anything outside the USA.

Nonsense, the weather in England is perfect: it rains only 5 days a year and is otherwise never cloudy. Your statement is just another example of your ignorance of anything not American.

Suck it and see. What?s the worst that could happen? You?re not going to have withdrawal seizures in just one day. I think full on DTs take a few days. But I believe baclofen has been found to be very effective against alcohol withdrawal. I drank like a fish for decades, pissed as a fart every night (and day usually) right up until the ?switch? and then stopped suddenly. I didn?t get any withdrawal symptoms.*

So this is my second night on bac, and I'd have to say a pretty good day! I was walking around Seattle in the sun and I felt happy and really relaxed. The relaxation only seems to come when I'm outside of my apartment, but we'll see how that goes.

They're only doing 2 seasons. They said they were having trouble coming up with funny story lines and they didn't want to make something they didn't believe in completely. Good for them, but they need to do a Murray spin-off show...he's freaking hilarious

You shoulda come to evergreen! Well only for the summer quarter haha. We have the best summer's here, and you'd have great views of Mt. Rainer right in the Seattle backdrop. And where's Bedfordshire? Is that in like Libya or something?

Try restarting it, or re-installing it, because I've downloaded both seasons on that show using Vuze. You must've broken your computer. Or the internet.
You could also go directly to a BT sire like BTjunkie.com. They have it there.

And sadly, I think I'm gonna give in and drink tonight. I don't feel like white-knuckling it at the moment.

I wouldn't bother one way or the other about drinking while titrating up on baclofen. It'll help not to, in that the SE's can be magnified with a hangover, but it's not a prerequisite.

It sounds like you all watch way too much television. Go do something fun, ffs.

The feelgood feeling is probably due to oxytocin running around your head at a furious rate. I've not seen it happen at such a low dose, but baclofen affects everyone differently. Lucky you! Keep a strong and beady eye out for the positive SE's, of which there are many. My titration was for the most part, a real gas.

I agree with Bleep: it's no biggey to drink on bac, although the SEs may be worse.

murph, when i was in london for a few days it was cloudy and horrible the whole time. and the food sucked goat placenta. that slice of the place was enough for this amerikan to base a lifetime of attitudes on about your mother of a sucking country.

@ Murph: BitTorrent. I've never heard of that Vuze program but it should work just fine. Listen to pete, go to btjunkie.org, download just the torrent file and load it into your bittorrent client.
