I've got an idea. I think I need to retreat from the world for awhile, go back to school, find some passions and interests, and then re-emerge when I've caught up a bit with normal people.

You HAVE interests, btw. You like soccer. You like people. You're witty. You're not an idiot. Music; I'm guessing words... I could suggest cooking or gardening or something, but plenty of time for that after you get laid. A couple of times. (Not suggesting you haven't. I am suggesting it's a whole new world.)

Rest assured you'll be putting on your party hat, albeit it'll be a much more fun party than the ones you're used to.

It's a whole new world, slipperish, you're going to love it...In a while. How cool is that?

Hmmm. It seems the wrong way to go about it, to me. The best way to be like normal people is to among them, observing the peculiar things they do, and mimicking them. Pretend you are David Attenborough.

Or just go among them and do your thing, which is probably even better. Withdrawing into a room and trying to force sanity on your self sounds like something your roomie has suggested to you?
