    Seeing the doc tomorrow

wow, your sister must rock! another girl jock warms the cockles of my heart.

bruun, nice work with the languages! what are 'tuas'?

i was just over at murphy's blog. great stuff! he has a link that goes directly to his thread here, so that's very heartening; it's not destined to sink to the mucky bottom of dead threads! i tried to post a comment but with the name option it wanted a url. i thought to use my thread's url, if that even makes sense, but i asked murph first what he thought of that notion. i sure as heck don't want to choose the 'anonymous' option! his will be another fun place for us to commune! (i'll go ask him if i can paste the site address (url?) here...)

Now that's a bad ass! Takes on a cobra, gets bit, takes a little nap, hops up and does it all over again. That would seriously wreck your shit.

                      Pete, Rudy,

I had a problem with Murph's link too.
And Pete, Murph told you about boys and soccer!

                      Love you guys!

The first 2 are from right outside the lodge we stayed at, and the rest are at the river we fished at. If you want the pic of me wrestling a coyote in the nude, you'll have to PM me the password.

                              Looks just like Virginia.

There have been several occasions on my bac journey where I had to manage my dreams. Mind you, I do not put a lot of stock in dreams anymore (long story short, I would wake up, bac'd out, convinced that I knew something to be true, and it turned out to be false. Or with some sort of prescience or premonitory dream, and find it to be really ridiculous.)

I managed my dreams by walking myself through some pretty ordinary steps to control runaway thoughts, much the same as I do when I'm getting on that ol' I-Suck-Carousel. Or the equally debilitating Life-Sucks-Merry-go-Round. I think about something else! Not a beach in a faraway place or some other such shite. Often it was something someone said on here. (Usually, of course, Murphy's thread. :H) Try it? Maybe it'll help?
(FTR, I'm not talking about the Denial Trap. Some shite you have to deal with, right? I'm just talking about the things that aren't real--I think of them as the tentacles of the beast because I often feel scared, hopeless, out of sorts and unable to do anything about it if I let them run away with me. Even the bad dreams. Now, I know not everyone is as candy-ass as I am about bad dreams, but hey, we all get freaked out about something. For some, the prez's death might be a good dream. )

Hope it's a beautiful day for you! The weather is going to be fine. I hope you don't have anywhere to go, though, because there's a demonstration on the mall this weekend and traffic on the beltway is sure to be hellish. I drove up near there on Monday, and even on a holiday, with all the feds off of work, the traffic was miserable. Now that everyone's back in town it's bound to be that much worse. What're you going to do? Price of living in the capital. Of the known universe.

Pete, the pictures are lovely. Was it a recent trip?

You shouldn't bully the coyotes though. Even naked.
