The domain is dirt cheap, as low as like 4 bucks/year but it costs about 14.95/month on hostgater(I love them) That includes unlimited bandwidth and storage I think. The domain isn't the cost it is the hosting. I used to run my own site and hosting when I had a very high speed connection but it was high priced.
I think there are some very low cost hosting options but hostgator is just the best for developer types since you get cpanel and a lot of options for any programming languages you want. Maybe we could set up a sort of nonprofit group and get this done with donations and donated work. It really wouldn't cost much to have a high traffic and informative site. I do plan to do this if this medication works for me and I think it will.
