    Dude!

Where are you? How are you?

    That's a ridiculous question.

So. I'm thinking about you. People are having a conversation about whether or not to post on your thread on a whole 'nother thread. They're thinking about you, too.

    Point is this:

We're here. I know, I know. It's just a bunch of anonymous internet people. Except it's not and we're not.

I'm Karen. I actually prefer Ne. Doesn't make no nevermind to me, though.

    Hang in. It gets better.

      where are you man!?

Hey Joe/Craig(which one is it? )
I really am worried about you since you posted like mad and then disappeared upon starting BAC and had a bad night. It could just be that you are doing well and busy so not wasting time here but that isn't usual. I can't say much since I am drinking like mad myself but I hope I can help someone and I like you from what I've read of ya. I don't like posting much about helping others since I feel others see my fakeness but hey! it's free speech here right!?

I hope you come back man!

Hrrmm had a bit too much to drink and ended up in hospital with vodka + Bac. Idiot. Apparently the ambulance guy counted out how many I had left in the Bac bottle, i'd managed to get down 32 x 10mg (in one go with voddy). Ah well, was a horrible experience so nobody ever try it haha. Lost a day of my life in that bloody hospital. Not to mention the confusion / no idea what was going on. Slipping in and out of consciousness, incontinence (eugh). Arms and hands were twitching about lots, and couldnt keep any fluid down until this morning. Anyways I just thought I'd put this here as a small warning never to try it lol.

Feeling a lot better now though, got home at 11:45 this morn.. went to bed at 12:45 and slept till 4:20pm! Hoping I can hold some proper food down as I'm starving. Anyways yeah, apologies for what I typed the other night. Ridiculous thing to do.

Whoa! I wouldn't have ever figured that was what happened. I took a bit extra when I first got the Bac also but could tell it didn't have any real abuse potential and it ends up making you feel like crap if you go up too fast.

Also I messed up some with it by not using one of those pill organizers. During my drinking episodes my memory becomes crap and keep redosing it and all of a sudden notice I feel like crap.

That could have been a close call if you didn't get some medical help. I read about someone having to be in-tubed and put on a ventilator from a bac OD, I guess it could be fatal. I am sure I used the wrong term. The stuff they put in you so you don't choke on puke or stop breathing.

Don't let this be a set back for you, just be careful man! Maybe have someone hold on to the meds and give you the right amounts on schedule until you get the drinking under control. That's why I'd do anyway. I'm just glad your back!

          Hang in there!

            FFS...

Start again, and do it properly this time. We don't want ANYONE to become an example of how not to get sober on baclofen.

What follows is a general statement and may or may not be applicable to you. I'm not judging, I'm just saying: don't think baclofen is going to do all the hard work for you. Make use of everything at your disposal. The Toolbox Thread, l-Glutamine, a daily plan. Whatever it takes, yeah?

Yeah I had a nose ventilator too to stop airway obstruction, bloody hurt when they pulled it out :-/ and a few batches of IV stuff in my hand. Not sure what I'm gonna do now tbh, don't feel like drinking ever again after that! I've already got some bac ordered from the other day though, zopiclone aswell. I'm thinking I might just ditch the bac for now, try and quit drinking and just have a single zopiclone before bed to help me sleep. Just a thought anyways!

Aye tip, I understand that. It wasn't anything to do with Bac really - it would have been whatever I had to hand and that just happened to be Bac. Idiotic regrettable shit really.

I hope you give the bac a try though. If your anything like me you'll try everything else and end up back here anyway. I'm not sure how a ambien style sleeping pill is going to get you off alcohol, I just drank on those.

I'm not tryin to say you can't do it but the Bac seems to be an amazing find if you really want off all of these drugs soon, I know it takes time and I hate that too. I want it to work TODAY

                    My emphasis

                    So....

You're going to feel like drinking again within a day or two. You need to get your arse in gear and work on a plan to prevent things from getting out of control again.

Have you managed to remain sober for any length of time? (I sure as hell couldn't - I drank through everything that happened to me, every day, for 15 years). What triggers your drinking? You need to be prepared.

Oh and don't think 1 ER trip is the end of this.. I've been in them more times that I can remember for stupid overdoses. I thought after the first that I was going to change my ways as well.

God yes - I remember that feeling. Of wanting the hell to be over.

It happens soon enough, though - just keep plugging away at it.

                          Wow Joe.

If not the vodka, you would have been halfway there. I kid you not. One thing I just want to clarify, is that you cannot kill yourself with baclofen, no matter how hard you try. So relax. Sit back. The answer is there, in front of you...

Take your baclofen responsibly, or not, but just for fuck's sake take it it, and get to a reasonable dose and you'll see what happens. I promise you - your world will change.

Hrrmm are you sure? The side effects from overdose include seizures, and more importantly coma. You could easily choke on your own vomit from a baclofen-induced coma? Especially if you're drinking a lot at the same time?

Joe - good to hear you're ok. I agree with everyone else to get back on bac. That was just a slip-up, it shouldn't have to change your overall plan.
