    Baclofen on the Radio

I thought that gas was generally waaaay more expensive in the Old World than it is here in the New/Free World. Hey Murph, what do you pay per...umm...ehh liter?

Here, in Cali, I'm currently paying ~$3.73 per gallon, which works out to... ?.69ish per liter. It's nearly 3 am here so I might be doing this wrong but it's 11 am there so you can check my math.

You do use Euros right, or are are you to stuck up to do even that? In which case it'd be ?2.33 per gallon, which would be ~?.62 per liter.

Don't you pay significantly more than that? And with your flower bus, how far does that get you?

@ skeptic: No worries, we've all been shitfaced before. Next time you're totally wasted, freak the fuck out on this guy: https://www.mywayout.org/community/f2...mas-50512.html He's an actual charlatan, and a motherfucker to boot. Dr. L is a saint. When I came to Dr. L, a year ago, I explained my financial situation at the time and he told me to send him a check for $10 *if* I could, so I did.

All of us take issue with his stated success rate, which I think is bullshit too, but the rest of it is true.

Fuck! Is that all you wankers pay for petrol? Not gas, gas is errrr a gas. Petrol is a liquid. IDIOTS!

Remember UK gallons and US gallons are different, because Americans can't drink a whole UK pint, so they make them smaller so girly Americans can get their delicate little fingers around the glasses.

So, per litre I pay ?1.39, which is €1.55 or $2.22

And my stupid vanagon does not so many miles to the gallon.....it has to go. :upset:

Damn, I just worked out it costs me 50 US cents per mile.

        That's $8.59 per US gallon.

I took the UK vs US gallons out of the equation and went straight to the liter. If you and I did the liter conversions right then yeah, you pay through the nose for...umm...petrol, which is what I thought. What kind of gas is gas? Propane, natural gas or like raw natural huMAN gas?

How much does Mrs. Murph pay for that?

It costs me ~12-16 cents per mile, but I've got an old Acura Integra.

I drank Jupiterian pints, there's nothing delicate about those.

Holy xxxxing poop. We're paying around 1.40 Euros for a liter of diesel. Luckily we have a crappy but astonishingly efficient Citroen. (It gets more and more efficient as bits of plastic fall off the interior. Must be 2 kilos lighter than when we bought it...)

Shit, that's quite steep Murph. We pay about $1.25 a litre here, and we pay it gladly. For a long period we ran out of fuel, and that lends itself to all sorts of interesting problems.

Gas is LPG, Liquid Petroleum Gas, used for cooking and stuff. Murph is lucky, and gets his piped into his house by his frightfully efficient government, but we buy it in 50kg cannisters and lug the damn things home.

Damn, no fuel for the generators + intermittent grid supply = not good. And I hear it can get quite warm in Africa so electricity must come in handy.

Thanks for asking SP. I had a lovely holiday. The family and I went to a festival with live music (some different artists and bands played all day). We gorged ourselves on a plethora of food that was fattening and delicous. We then ended the night with fireworks to music too. I enjoyed myself loads without a drop of booze all day. This would be my first 4th in ages, where I didn't drink. Even before alcoholism, I was a binge drinker. Of course, you (we) think it's a worldwide holiday. We are American. Even if it's not a worldwide holiday, we think it should be. :H

Skeptic, thanks for bringing out Mr Hyde on the one who deserves it. Just remember...we don't deserve it. I'm thinking maybe you can't control who you unleash on, when the beast takes over. Obviously, you are intrigued by bac, since you have already spoken to the charlatan. Why not just give it a try? You label yourself skeptic. Why not do the experiment and see what happens?

How the man thinks that those half naked (I'm assuming and hoping it's only half?) videos are a selling point is beyond me. Says a lot about the guy. you're right to be wary of him Skeptic. And skeptical of baclofen - you should of heard what my family said when I told them of my latest plan to beat booze. Skeptical would have been polite. I was a bit dubious myself, but I had nothing to lose. They just thought it was another way for me to keep drinking while I tried to "cure" myself. They are believers now though.

                          Try it. This shit works.

There's nothing wrong with being sceptical* Skeptic. You should look into baclofen, read about it all you can, ask all your questions and make a plan. Only a fool would just accept it at face value and blunder into it without any real research. Oh, wait a minute, that's what I did. Ho hum.

I was led astray by this bloody spellchecker. I should have been more sceptical, I knew it looked wrong.
