Thanks for that. One of the problems we face here, is that nobody really knows anything conclusively yet. It's very frustrating, but we are slowly adding to our meagre store of knowledge. Some of us through experiments, which don't always end well, and also just through reading a lot of what goes on here, and on other forums. So it's slowly building, and in time we'll have a much better idea of where we are and what we should be doing.
As to taking baclofen forever - who knows. I'm hoping that a rewiring effect is taking place, and over time, as I get used to drinking much less, this will become the default behavior. If it does, I'll be ecstatic. To maintain my current dose where I am in the world is a costly exercise indeed! The exercise may also play a role. I hope so, because recently I started going to gym for the first time in my life.
I think my point though, is that should all these other theories amount to nought, I am perfectly happy to continue as I currently am. I never thought that what I am living today would ever have been possible, so I'm just quietly grateful.
