    VERY Superficial Question re BAC

FWIW, It seems like bruising/bleeding is caused by blood thinners generally. Aspirin, heparin, coumadin, etc from some www searching. Baclofen doesn't have that quality, to the best of knowledge.

I will prob go up a bit, Bleep, but will try not too much. I don't know about the "switch" since I don't want to take a ton (150+) every day if I can help it. Too much money and worried about the effects on my health and in case I have to have any procedures down the line.
I saw a similar statement early in the Abstinence, Moderation and Indifference thread. To the effect of not intending to take high doe bac for life. I guess it depends on your perspective and your expectations for the future. For me, knowing my history and genetics, I see my choices as two:

    1. High dose bac for life.
    2. High dose alcohol for life.

I'm not 100% positive what #1 will do over the long-term. It seems that a lot of cerebral palsy patients and MS patients take moderately high dose bac for life without any problems. I AM 100% positive what #2 will do over the long-term. I'll take the risk with #1 over the risk of #2 any day. But that's just me.

      VERY Superficial Question re BAC

      Found a big Baclofen mistake!

NEVER EVER do this on Baclofen!!! PLEASE help post this where others will see it. I am very sorry I posted a huge mistake about dosing. I said I thought taking smaller doses would help with the side effects. I misunderstood what the doctor said. Taking smaller doses will make you very, very sick. I threw up five or six times yesterday. When I called the doc to report what was happening he told me taking smaller doses will make you feel sick as a dog! He was right.

Right now I am at 120mgs 3 times 40mgs a day. Starting to notice I can make a decision not to drink until I blackout.

      Thanks for everyone's help.

      By the way

        VERY Superficial Question re BAC

        I hear ya Turbo! 2 vs. 1.

I think that's what I was wondering - if bac was a blood thinner - or had some percentage of thinner in it. That helps a lot. Thank you!

And DHS, you're saying not to lower my dose?? I know not to do that quickly but I did it gradually. 150 for one week than gradually, a couple of weeks, got back down to 75 w/o any withdrawals/side effects. I'll prob go up to 100 in a week or so. Thanks.

                  VERY Superficial Question re BAC

Hey! So glad you checked in. and that's actually a really good thing to know. I'm sure (really) it'll come up, in many ways. (For instance, someone recently had a cancer removed from her face. She didn't have any bad outcomes either...Good to know, right?)
                  How's the bac???

                    VERY Superficial Question re BAC

Regarding bruising, you can take the following right after having bruising to help heal you up. This is not botox related but ANY bruising:

Arnica gel - apply five or ten times a day, seriously, or it won't do much.
                    Vitamin C - 1-2 grams 3xday
Fish Oil - 3-4 grams/day to help with inflammation
Papaya enzymes - will help heal you up FAST according to my friend, I haven't tried it but she swears its amazing. Nothing else heals you up that fast.
