    Thanks Lo0p.

I am addicted to both salt and alcohol -- could they be related genetically?

I just hope nobody kills me to examine gene activity in the hypothalamus.:H

Hey loop? Just started posting on here and started bac and am up to 90 mg. Seems like you work out too. Just curious as to your experience on working out as you titrated up. I do 90 min. Of cardio in morning and competitive tennis 5 days a week. I am pretty lethargic but force myself to workout. Still not seeeing much decrease in cravings. Fyi. Is that avatarvyou or something you picked up on the internet.

Thanks loop. That exercise and bac thread was helpful. Hoping i can get back to playing some competitive tournaments once my drinking gets under control. Still at 90 mg and not much progress.

Please don't spread the word among fitness types. I'm convinced to this day that it'll give you a major edge endurance-wise. If people start to abuse it, it may one day become controlled.

I'm very late on this one Lo0p but found these comments interesting. I don't know if I feel the same way. Not that Baclofen has hampered my workouts at all but I just don't think I notice any benefit in the gym. Is it specifically muscular endurance you're talking about or do you think you are benefiting strength wise as well? I recently had a 4 month layoff from the gym due partially to laziness and partially to stress related to losing a job and then finding a new job and moving to a new city. I just got back in the gym two weeks ago and I will say that I was pleasantly shocked that I hardly lost any strength on my dead lifts and NO strength loss on my weighted chins(body weight of 192 + 40lbs for 5 reps) after doing nothing for 4 months. I follow Berkhans RPT program. So I don't know what to think... perhaps it helped me retain some strength?

In addiction, suppression of symptoms should suppress the disease altogether since addiction is, as he observed, a "symptom-driven disease". Of all "anticraving medications used in animals, only one - baclofen - has the unique property of suppressing the motivation to consume cocaine, heroin, alcohol, nicotine and d-amphetamine"

Ahh the dreaded Fuckarounditis. It's a horrible condition for sure. That was a great article though :H

Do they make a pill for that, too? :H Perhaps an inoculation. I could seriously use one, having just spent two hours in this time-vortex called MWO.

They do!! It's a hard one to swallow though, but once it goes down it get's easier and easier to take (it's kind of addictive :wow. It's called results. Results breed motivation which breeds results.

Bminor. I was referring much more to cardiovascular endurance. It's what the study with the mice found. Plus, you'll notice, the 4x20 squats I was doing back in those days were mainly straining my cardiovascular system and my "will to go on." It definitely made a marked difference. It allowed me to push more which, in turn, helped me indirectly see strength gains that wouldn't have come nearly as easily utilizing that style of training
                      .

I don't do that anymore and I suspect neither do you. My style now is much closer to RPT. With Berkhan's Reverse Pyramid Training*, where you assault and completely drain your maximum muscular potential in the first and second set, I find that that point comes far before any cardiovascular limited point of failure would come. Hence, rendering the benefit of baclofen useless.

Right, I get what you are saying. And yes your are correct, I didn't mean to credit Martin with creating RPT, I only meant that I've been following a program designed directly by him while under his consultation.

I don't know about you, but I found RPT to be refreshing change of pace from the old SGX style of training I used to do. I really love it. I certainly DON'T miss those 20 rep squat workouts... :H

Heh. I skipped right over the part where you mentioned you were following Berkhan's RPT program. I was only trying to ensure I wasn't inappropriately crediting him with it. Notice how I said "and I suspect neither do you"? :H Plus, if you're following his program, I'm sure it probably is his own adaptation of RPT.

Wow. I forgot we were both running SGX at the same time. When the hell was that, like '07? :H It's truly bizarre you and I ended up in two of the same completely
