Does anybody have any spare Antabuse to sell?

Yeah I don't need a massive amount, but I'd like some quicker than can be delivered via a website as I have a horrible AL tempting wedding to go to and I won't have any Bac left by then. Tapering down now. Doctor said no to Antabuse when I went there this morning so eh!

If anybody does have some that'd be great, and obviously I'd pay for them. I'm in the UK.

Why did the Doctor say no?

AB should really be taken very carefully, I had a bad reaction to the stuff (surprise surprise) and without AL either. Made me very ill.

Have you considered Nal at all?Drinking on it is actually part of the treatment, and many find their drinking is a lot more manageable with it.

By the way I don't have any AB!

I really don't want to drink ever again :-/ which is why I'm not really considering Nal - want to be abstinent The doctor said no because its 'too dangerous' without psychiatric treatment / help from the drug and alcohol team. He said GP's don't tend to prescribe them! I can buy some online but I might have to wait until after the wedding, which is why it'd be really helpful if somebody just happened to have some on here to sell

Yeah I kinda get the risks with Antabuse, but I've been abstinent for 3 weeks with Bac but its too expensive to keep up. I just need that little crutch to completely negate any option to drink. I think if I take it with the Campral to help with the cravings it'll work pretty well

I just don't like knowing you can drink on Campral without any ill effects, knowing that worries me because when I'm sat in the bar at the wedding with everyone getting hammered around me thats when its gonna be most difficult!

Aww the water drinking isnt a bad idea, but I've got severe anxiety-induced Paruresis :upset: when you've got a bladder full of beer it isn't too bad as when you've gotta go.. you've gotta go! but sober its a nightmare and I restrict my toilet trips to a bare minimum :xmouth: embarrasing

I wanted abstenance too, however I found abstenance very difficult and the pressure actually made me worse. Drinking wasn't my plan at all, but I got to the point where I would try anything - even drinking shock horror, and so gave it a go. Now I'm abstenant most days, and alcohol doesn't really bother me the majority of the time.
