Nora's Naltrexone
I used a regular pharmacy. I think the key is to find a doctor to prescribe naltrexone. I paid $45 for 30 days. Cheap!Sinclair Method (50mg naltrexone one hour before drinking)

After control: 3-6 units per month, 25+ alcohol free days!

There's some recent research/evidence that points to the fact that Nal does in fact have some positive effect. In fact, I think there are two things posted around here. Neither about the Sinclair Method, though. (I didn't do anything but skim them, but they're here!)
I can't answer your questions, but I can tell you that it's a great thing to give it a shot. Ukblonde has had some success, obviously.
More power to you sister! We're all here to kill the beast.

I have zero side effects, and I mean zero and do not crave alcohol. One thing I will say is that you do need to exert some will power/motivation and reasoning. But only as much as to say "Do I really want this drink?Well no actually I don't like the taste and would prefer to go to bed/have a soft drink". You can drink through it if you really WANT to.
Just to cap this off, I was chatting to a friend who has seen me at my worst over the last 4 or 5 years. When I told him about the glasses of wine I have left half hardly touched he has declared it a miracle. Nal works for some people and you need to put the work it, but it's worth it!

Nora's Naltrexone
Thought it might be appropriate to post the results of some blood tests I've just had run, 4 1/2 months after starting using Naltrexone as per TSM. Gamma GT value is 14, which I think is a very low reading (it's an indicator of liver activity, higher means it's working hard to detoxify, low means conditions are 'easy'), also blood sugar and iron have come back 'normal'.
Last couple of weeks I've drunk alcohol on approximately 5 or 6 occasions, and my total intake is probably somewhere around 16-18 units for the fortnight.
Just incase anyone was interested!

Had a beer last night, left a layer of liquid in the bottom because I really couldn't be bothered. Thank God for Nal, in the past I'd have been bladdered. It was a large bottle of speciality beer so around 2.5 uk units but still good and safe. Only drink I've had in 6 days....Nal on!!
