    Cheap Naltrexone??

Does anyone know of any place with cheap Nalrexone? I found Baclofen has been cheapest at Walgreens (I paid $9 - $13 for a generic 1-month supply 360 pill supply), but for the Naltrexone even the Walgreens is charging me $63 for 30 generic pills, this is kinda steep for me right now. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

    Thanks!

PS: I don't have insurance, I discovered a pharmacy discount card offered by many of the larger pharmacy chains.

Also since I have so many effortless Alcohol-Free days these days, I don't take it every day but still feel the need to keep taking it every week even if I only consume half a tablet because if I take it after a long absence I find the Nausea etc. comes back.

Hmmm, we pay around ?70 at most internet pharmacies for a months supply shipped to the UK, and I consider this cheap because it works out at around ?2.50 per pill which represents just 1 drink at a bar over here. So you only have have 1 drink less and you've recooped the money.

Just my way of thinking anyway. I suppose if people are still drinking heavily then yes the cost will add up. I found baclofen cost me at least the same as nal for a 1 month supply, it just feels more expensive because you are only taking 1 pill at a time.

That's far more than the original poster is paying, and not what he's asking!
I don't come here much anymore but you can always mail me at rotunda 2000 at hotmail dot com (no spaces). Might be able to help with Bac emergencies

I know, I was a little off the point there. I was trying to say it is cheap at the price he is paying, plus it's not that expensive in real terms either. Then again I have an idea a lot of things in the US are cheaper, and I'm used to high prices for everything.

To answer his original question I don't know of any cheaper sources apart from obtaining it via prescription.

It's cheap at that price if you can afford it, perhaps. Whatever I may think of it, when TSM says 'take the pill and drink as you always do to be cured' it's impossible to do if you can't afford both the drink and the pills...

Correct but he does say he's having more AF days, I was lucky in that my drinking reduced right from day one. The major benefit for me was the reduction of effect on work, meaning I could enjoy regular earnings again even though I was still drinking - simply not to the same extent.

I paid $45 for 30 days supply of generic naltrexone at Costco. You don't have to be a member in most states to use the pharmacy. If you are a Costco member, they have a prescription drug discount for those w/o health insurance. The price I quoted is the regular price, no discount.
Sinclair Method (50mg naltrexone one hour before drinking)

Pre TSM 80-90 Units Per Week, No Alc Free Days

After control: 3-6 units per month, 25+ alcohol free days!

Oh wow, that's very cool HeavyFuel -- I'm not a member and hope it works -- I'll check them out -- perhaps they might even take my discount card.

                  Thanks a bunch.

(I am really having to continue to take some kind of small dosage because otherwise my initial side-effects come back with a vengeance if I just take a dose on the odd random night of drinking -- last night was horrific and I will post all about it in my party-pooping, resident-whining post)
