Well, I got off my pity pot and went back to 380 again. I know the side effects suck -- just sleeping mostly -- but I didn't drink again last night. At 380 I've never drank more than a beer or two.

I slept from 5am to 11am which was nice... but I wish it was more like midnight to six or midnight to eight. Someday.

I am back up to 19 20mg pills spread out around my 3 times per day. I have been taking 6-7-6 to try and keep my night time dose lower in an effort to sleep better. I have also tried to take my nighttime dose at around 7pm as I have found taking bac later keeps me awake.

Any thoughts?

Break 'em up more, maybe? I did and I think it helped. A lot. Every 3 or 4 hours...

Hang in. Sounds like it's the magic number. Oh. And look for it. Be okay with the decision...you know? It took me an awful long time to realize I didn't have to drink, even after I didn't have to drink.

do you mean taking my dosage 4 times a day? Or do you mean spacing my dosage further apart?

I have heard that Dr A and Dr L say to take last dose of Baclofen 3-4 hours before bed

oh and as for spacing the doses, some people take Baclofen 4x - 6x a day instead 3x
so if you are up to 380 you could do 4 doses of 80mg and 1 dose of 60mg
7am, 10am, 1pm,4pm and 7pm
OR
70mg 5x + 30 mg 1x (total 6 doses)
4am, 7am, 10 am etc etc

Maybe I'll try something like that, thank you. I will read through your thread. Last night I took .5 mg of xanax and slept all the way through the night from midnight until 9am. It was awesome, but I did have crazy nightmares. I can live with vivid dreams even if they are pretty intense. I am a bit groggy today, but sleeping makes a huge difference.

380mg at 120-140-120. 19 pills.

Ok so I went 4 days without drinking, then went to a bar and had a few drinks with some friends. I found myself grabbing a stiff drink and being "tipsy" I stopped drinking. Still at 19 split 4 times. I find it hard to sleep, but I am sleeping better with where I am at.

A quick read through makes it seem like you are waiting for baclofen to actually stop you from drinking? It won't do that.

Well, at 380 it definitely did do just that. I am starting on my way down and all seems fine to me? What do you mean it won't stop you from drinking?

I thought HDB did stop you from drinking thats the whole point isnt it?

HDB did stop me from drinking, hands down. It isn't that I cant go and have a drink when I want to. HDB isn't like an antabuse. But I had no desire to drink. I had no craving to drink and that was my goal, I wanted to be indifferent. I did go to a bar with some friends -- but I think that is counter productive. I am sure my solution is to just abstain and with Bac I see no reason why that cannot happen. I have dropped to 320 broken up 4-4-4-4.

Just for shits and giggles -- yesterday I tried my usual 16 pills but further broken up into 2 pills every two hours and it seemed to work fairly well. I think I'll keep seeing what works best for me.
