I am feeling much better thank you. I am still at 180 and still holding at that level. I did reach my dose without any SE. I'll let you know how it goes from here.

wow! good to hear, dose. how the heck did you do it with no se's? i guess you've maybe paid your dues on that front. or maybe guys don't have the se troubles the way women do.

LOL I had a few drinks when I posted that. I definitely had SEs and still do. Yesterday I had much less SEs than day one at 180, but I was hallucinating and my muscles were randomly contracting in my hands all day.

My body is getting used to 180 though and I think that I'll be ok at this level with more time.

But I did have less drinks than normal and in order to get drunk I had to hit the hard stuff out of habit. I drank 2 beers and had about 7 shots of jager. 9 drinks is much less than I usually drink without any bac.

I'd be interested in how much you'd drink at night if you didn't have any hard stuff. I'm guessing not a whole lot.

I still don't understand your choice in drinks. A decent liquor paired with a ghetto malt liquor? I would assume you'd go decent-decent or just go all out ghetto, and mix a $4 half gallon of vodka with Olde English.

Well last night I had 2 coronas, about 1 sip of a tilt before I poured it out, and 4 shots of jager before I went to sleep. This is definitely progress.

I am still at 180, 60-60-60 at 0800, 1400, and about 2100.

My SEs are pretty bad, but that can be expected going to 180 from 60 in a few days. I am very drowsy, especially in the afternoons. I am also "ghosting" with my eyes. I feel like my eyes relax and don't focus for a second and then snap back into working again. I have little artifacts from previous "blips" out of focus on what I am looking at. After thinking about this effect for a while, I have decided that they aren't really full hallucinations, but more like my brain doesn't know how to deal with my eyes not working properly.

My throat feels like it is so relaxed it isn't working. This feels a bit like choking, but not exactly. I just feel like my tongue is numb and my throat is very relaxed.

Last night I got my first taste of insomnia. I was so incredibly tired, but the brain zaps and the like kept me awake. I found myself falling asleep while "awake" and I would catch myself snoring, but I could never fall asleep. At about 0200 I woke up after going to sleep at 2330. I stayed awake until about 0500 when I finally slept for about 2 hours. I felt like my dreams were very vivid and even though it felt like I slept a long time, I woke up around 0700.

Oh... one other kinda crappy side effect -- I love chewing tobacco. I have chewed for about 10 years, but only when drinking alcohol and usually it would make me feel sort of crappy. I know -- then why do I keep doing it? I have no idea. Anyhow, now that I am very relaxed all the time on Baclofen I find that a chewing tobacco buzz feels really good. I feel myself wanting to grab a chew morning, noon, and night.

Today the SE were pretty bad. I was still very screwed up from my afternoon dose when it was time to take my evening dose. I am debating moving to a 70-40-70 dose because I am so wiped out from about 1300-1700 and today I was wiped out from 1400 on until now and its almost midnight.

Edit: I took my 60-60-60 even though I felt like complete shit because I don't want to drop in dose. I know it might take my body a few weeks to recover from the quick jump, but I cant see going down as a good idea. Listening to massive attack -- teardrop.

I'm not sure if that change in dosing schedule would help. Have you considered breaking it up into 6 doses of 30 mg each? That might work a little better.

I agree. Breaking up the doses makes a big difference in how badly I get hit with SE's. Even just an hour between smaller doses makes a difference.

You might want to try splitting up into a 4 dose schedule. I have been doing this for most of my titration, and though I've tried a few different variations, 4 a day, as evenly as possible (even amount of bac, evenly spaced out), works the best for me.

I can't tell you how many times I've been lying in bed lately, watching tv, only to wake myself up with a SNORT!. :H
Yeah, the insomnia is a bitch! I tend to sleep in 2 hour increments (at best!) when it's at its worst. I've tried tons of stuff to help - Bendaryl, valerian and melatonin, xanax, klonopin. For some reason though, even though everything works REALLY well the first time, if I do the same thing 2 nights in a row, it doesn't work. For me, the insomnia is the most debilitating SE of bac. I'm titrating down now from my switch (at 200 this time) in order to try and get a good night's sleep again.

Pete and Ginger: I will try this then, 60-40-40-40 at 0600-0800, 1200, 1600, and 2100. That is pretty evenly spaced and the night dose will be about 2 hours before I start to go to sleep.

Isolde: I read your quote, and I don't know if it is because I am on a bit of a bac high, but I kept reading "but she was born diagonally". Hah.. I swear your name says you sold ecstasy. Anyway, yah I have woken up with those same snorts on the couch watchin tv!

I was having really bad insomnia for the past few days, but last night I slept really well. I woke up this morning and the clock said 0630 and I was ecstatic because that meant I had slept through the night.

Last night I drank a beer, half a tilt, and about 1/3 a bottle of jager. I would guess that is about 7 drinks again which is positive?

Been hit with a little depression, but there is a lot changing in my life right now so who knows if it is related at all.

Hey Dose

Apologies in advance for being a noodge, but I think you were drinking a few days ago when I kinda suggested that you might give Dr L a call. Hasn't it been about a month since you started your bac journey...you know he's "seeing" dozens of patients...he might have some good advice about how your SEs, titration, sleep issues and the bit of depression may fit into a bigger picture. Could put your mind at ease. He's pretty understanding about fees...just a thought...
