Online Pharmacies Denying Bac Orders for US Customer

I figure I'd start a new thread on this as it could be a major development.

Over the past 24 hours I have been denied purchases by Goldpharma, River and 4Rx.

The Goldpharma site does not let you add Bac to the shopping cart. River requires a prescription, or contact info for your doctor (and they DO follow up). 4Rx allowed me to add Bac to the cart, but after I entered my shipping info (before adding payment info) I received an error message that the order could not be processed.

Taw also had the same experience in the last day with Goldpharma and River. PJS had the same experience with Goldpharma.

    Has anyone experienced similar problems?

One option is to order liquid bac from Virtuous Labs. That ships domestically in the US.

Thanks Tip. Do you have a website link? I just googled and could not find them.

If you're in the states there is a perfectly viable, reasonable option. No insurance, no "permanent record" of AL. Easy, peezy. I'm not so crazy about giving out full details. Should I? Hell, why not. But only for a short time.
Edit: Please PM someone for the phone numbers.
It's his home number. Call between 7 and 9pm CST. Make sure that you tell him you are already taking it, particularly if you are going to run out. This makes a difference! Also, I think that bac is now being (almost) routinely prescribed in major metro areas. It has MANY applications, so AL does not need to be the diagnosis. Every doc I've ever had, I've asked them to keep it off my permanent record, including my GYN. And so far they have been willing to do that. (I want them to know the truth. It's rather important, right? But it's nobody's damn business, so I ask.)
What I know for sure is that Dr. L does not include a diagnosis with his prescription. (The pharmacist doesn't need to know that.) And if you have to give a reason to someone, he suggested depression, for which it has been used.
Sorry about the offshore pharms!!! Scary stuff. Anyone know what the hell happened?
            Good luck!
(taw, your situation is a bit different, I know. Call me.)

Right Now that there is no need to panic, the question is: why is this happening? Are other meds of a similar scheduling status treated similarly? Is US Customs not just enforcing their own regulations more strictly, or is bac being "targeted".

My imports into South Africa are technically illegal. The vast majority of online pharmacies won't accept my orders either. I have a single source: Inhouse Pharmacy and then only if sent via FedEx. Or relying on "red cross" packages from other MWOers. I can get bac locally prescribed, but it is prohibitively expensive.

Got it NE. OK to edit if you so choose.

Tip, that is the million $ question at the moment. I can hardly imagine what the implications might be for those who need to stay under the radar...

For those lurking out there, it looks like Inhouse may still be an option. I am going to pursue Plan B for now, so i did not take the order to fruition (common theme for me lately, but that's for another thread). But, it seems they are still shipping to the US (I think ?).

Just got off the phone with "Plan B" (aka the amazing Dr. L). We have everything squared away. What an exceptional person.

Should have gone this route the first time around. Fui muy estupido.

So Lo0p, NE (and others under his care), what's the scene like with the Walgreen's pharmacist (and the 12 people in line behind you) when you're filling a 9,000 mg Baclofen prescription once a month? Thinkin' I should have it called in to the Walgreen's on the other side of the tracks rather than the store in my neighborhood :H

I just ordered my first batch from Inhouse and got an email that it shipped.

If I can get this to work for me I will take my spreadsheet to my GP and try to convince her that she should Rx this for me. I think my pharmacist will do it. He's an independent pharmacist, not a chain.

Hey Grommet... My advice is to do an online request for an in-store pickup. Make sure to use Dr. L's office number as this is the one associated with his license (advice from other member). Make sure to call the pharmacy directly to make sure they don't need a few extra days to order the large amount. Oh, yeah, be sure to get the 10 mg pills, as they are a butload cheaper than the 20 mg's with the pharmacy card ($20).

This shutdown by the online pharmacies is a real issue and I hope it works itself out. For anyone that is running out, please call Dr. L immediately and have him write you a script. The stories I have read about bac withdrawal are frightening...
Hit "the switch" at 190 mg/day on 11/10/11... Thanks to Dr. A, Dr. L, and all that have supported my journey on MWO!!:guitar1:

Sabby - great to hear about Inhouse. I don't think the pharmacist will be the issue. My prior post was tongue in cheek. Good luck with your GP. I get the sense things are starting to loosen up a bit in the medical community. My GP just can't be bothered with having to learn something new, although she still gives the best prostate exam in the 4 county area - particularly when you're jacked up on HDB (not all SE's are bad...).

Bobsd, great advice on the 10 mg. Even though the good Dr L put my mind to ease about running this through my insurance, I'm still not 100% on board. I'm going to place my first order tomorrow online for in-store pick-up at Walgreens for 2400 mg. Paying cash at Walgreen's is about twice as much as the online pharmacies, and 4x as much as running it through my insurance, but I just need to get my head around this first.

I was in a bit of panic mode earlier (coulda tell?). Shutting down Bac for US customers is going to have some very unfortunate implications. I told Dr L what was going on and suggested he should get home from work an hour earlier and update his antiquated cell phone/fax machine interface.

@Grommet - I just hope I can get my GP to do it! I really don't want to go through the hassle of interviewing a long line of GPs to find one open to the idea.

I'm also like you, scared of insurance boogeymen. I will have to make sure my GP writes a different Dx, not alkie.
