Online Pharmacies Denying Bac Orders for US Customer

Grommet- I just checked the pricing calculator for 10 mg bac, and 2700 mg's will run you only $12 with the Rx card. Less than a bottle of crappy booze!!!
Hit "the switch" at 190 mg/day on 11/10/11... Thanks to Dr. A, Dr. L, and all that have supported my journey on MWO!!:guitar1:

Dammit, I knew I should have kept the email! The reason is this, forgive me if I get some details wrong:

The law in India has changed apparently, they can no longer issue baclofen without a prescription. Although I believe it said that a doctor examined your request and then issued one, clearly this wasn't the case. So the Online Pharmacies are running around trying to find doctors who will prescribe.

The reason I'm aware of this is that I was contacted by one of them, asking if I could help. They unfortunately stopped emailing after I wanted to go into more detail though.

I'm pretty sure they will get enough doctors on board in the very near future, InHouse already seems to have done so and the others won't be far behind. If you aren't in the States though, and can't call Plan B, InHouse or Virtuous Labs should be able to sort you out.

        Reply from Goldpharma.

        Thank you for your email.
Regrettably, recent regulatory requirements mean that at present we are only able to supply the specific medicines as listed on our website. We are sorry for the unavoidable disruption to our service and the situation remains under close review. We hope this information is helpful but, in the event of any further enquiries, please contact us at your earliest convenience.

BTW, Hi I'm new here but I do have experience.

Currently I am working on a post regarding Gabapentin/Baclofen.
        Kindest regards

By purchasing a Walgreens discount card for $20 the script for 2400 mg of Bac is only $10.99 even with no insurance claim.

I know I had read about this on this forum in the past, but I've been on the idiot train lately and see no reason to get off (apparently).

You guys looking for bac might try AllDayChemist - Prescription drugs, Generic medicines, online indian Pharmacy

I ordered from them a few months ago. Maybe they'll have the same issue - maybe not. Prices are good, service and shipping excellent. I went the Dr. L route, so I rarely order online these days. Surely he doesn't actually believe that I still take 300 mg/day :H:H, but that's where we started and I'm staying there and stocking up as long as I can. Dr. L is an:lilangel:

Looks like my Inhouse order is processing.

Question, what happens if a shipment is stopped stateside?

Do they simply throw it out, or???

I go through Dr.L and for a low dose it isn't a problem. If I go in and have to explain I need 450 20mg pills they look at me like I am some sort of drug addict. This has happened at 4 different walgreen's stores. Eventually they all end up filling the prescription, although some press as to why you want so much. One Pharm guy actually went online to check my story and came back with my script filled.

Concerning this topic, I just happened to run into a thread on The Sinclair Method forum, which of course was about naltrexone but is relevant here, since it outlines why River Pharmacy has had to make sudden changes. According to one of their own people, government/customs rules in India now require a doctor's prescription, or at least the name of a doctor you can provide ("DCM" is the forum name of River's representative Debbie):

View topic - River Script Request

A slightly later thread then goes on to state that River now have a doctor onboard to help overcome this hurdle:

View topic - River Pharmacy has a Doctor to sign prescriptions

Their post stating that they now have a doctor was dated November 25.

EDIT : I retract a paragraph I just wrote, saying it may be harder to get baclofen from River than naltrexone, as their doctor is stated to be sympathetic to people using several medications for addiction, including baclofen.

Hey, Dose. I only had this issue a couple of times. The first time I lost my temper. That didn't work so well. (When the pharmacist said, "Your doctor works for you!" I almost bit my tongue off not replying, "Well you work for both of us, you ______-_________ idiot with an online degree and a drug habit." aside--I am fairly convinced having been around the rooms for a loooong time that people who get into pharmaceuticals are into pharmaceuticals. :H sorry to those around here who are both. 'cept you know it's true. just sayin'.)
Point is, they don't blink now and haven't since the first couple of orders. (Oy! That was SO SCARY for me!!!)
I thought about pharmacy shopping, and have done some of that. Then I realized I was not in fact a drug addict looking for a supplier. I was a woman solving my very own, very life-threatening illness, and no one and nothing was going to stand in the way. A little moral outrage and self-righteousness works for me (not a shocker around here, I know. Thanks for bearing with.)

Then I realized I just didn't give a flying hoot. And that they don't either. They really, really, really don't care. It's hard to see that when you're on HDB and everything seems very personal, and the threat to bac is a threat to life...But it's true.

As to the online debauchle, I'd add a word of caution about inundating the pharmacies that are prescribing. I am not trying to add anxiety, goodness knows, but I want to make sure that you all are getting effective bac. 9.9 times out of ten this is the case, right? But sending an order to Inhouse (or wherever) for 12 months worth of HDB might not be the best route... And if you're in the United States and need bac now, you can PM me or any of the other HDB peeps who probably have a stockpile.
Really. We'll send you some. That's the way we roll. and :l

Carry on, folks! Hope it's a good unbeastly (and even beast-conquering!) day for all!

Also, anyone who does not have a Walgreens or Rite Aid card should seriously consider investing in one. There are conditions in which paying for bac (and other meds, too!) is cheaper with a store card than with health insurance. MUCH cheaper. In one such instance (for 10mg pills) I saved more than the $20 the card cost. For one refill.
There are other benefits, too, that those of us getting scripts from these pharmacies regularly, can benefit from. (10% off for a year, if you hit a benchmark. This is easily done if one is filling a bac Rx there.)

Obviously, I'm not a shill for them, but found it $$$ helpful. I assume CVS and whatever is in other parts of the country, employ the same strategies. Also, I have made money when transferring prescriptions between pharmacies when they offer a $25 coupon as incentive for doing so. Just sayin'

I never could get the Walgreens b*tch (sorry, that's what she was) to give me more than 220 20mg pills at a time so Dr L. put me in contact with a Chicago based pharmacy to order from and it was smooth sailing from there. You just have to pay a little extra to have them ship it to you.

Here in UK I get my meds from 4nrx who ship from Hong Kong, they also have a US version called 4nrx.com I think maybe you will have better luck with them if the problem is shipping from india
