    Baclofen in Ireland

Hello, I'm thinking of ordering baclofen over the internet because I can't get a local GP (Ireland) to prescribe for me. If anybody knows of GPs in Ireland/UK who do prescribe I'd be interested as the preference would be not to go it alone.

However, should that be my only option, I've read in here that people have had problems getting Baclofen over the internet because of Irish Customs. I am thinking of having it delivered to an address in Northern Ireland but am curious if UK customs are as vigilant/harsh?

Has anybody in the UK had problems with customs? I'm grateful for your answers.

    Thanks.

You probably will have no problem getting it into Northern Ireland if you go through Goldpharma, I get stuff delivered to Wales all the time. It might be worth trying to get it delivered to the south as a small package in a once off to see if it gets through Irish customs- you can't tell from the package that it contains meds, it comes from random pharmacies in spain etc.

Your GP will prescribe acamprosate if you want, altho you're probably set on Bac. I'd keep it mind tho because it can work- I've quit with its help, and I was not able without it. Its not as sensational as Bac, there's no switch but I found that after 3 months of taking it that I lost that seemingly irresistible drive to go get pissed and that was the final piece of the puzzle because I was already very motivated. But I digress...good luck with Bac!

Whats the story with getting an address in NI if you are in the South?

Would delivery to a hotel work?

In the last 12 months the online pharmacies have stopped completely deliivering both Naltrexone and baclofen to the Republic of Ireland.

This of course has caused me to go into a massive reversal with my drinking.

I was pretty much down to 5-15units a week under the sinclair method

Hi, Im in UK and get meds from 4nrx no problem although I have heard of problems in Ireland but since Northern Ireland is part of UK/GB whatever, you should be ok there, they have our customs dont they. I mean customs as in government customs office not customs as in yorkshire pudding and morris dancing:H

GPs who will prescribe baclofen in Ireland

          Hi,
I'm new to this forum. I second this question about GPs who would prescribe baclofen. I'd like to be able to get a GP to prescribe it for me. I've read Dr. Ameisens book and I gave the B4a Baclofen Handbook to my GP to read. He will not, however, prescribe it for me. I've been on ant abuse but, while I managed to stay away alcohol for a few weeks and enjoy myself completely sober at a family wedding, I had some weird side-effects which scared me and my wife. I'm back on the booze now and would like to try baclofen.

Hi Thcnls, no. no luck on the GP front. I'm getting any friends who are travelling to spain to bring back all they can ( no prescription necessary there and about ?5 for a pack).

Cheers mate - that's what I am thinking of doing now as well - do you know which is the best city in Spain to go too and is it really Over the counter or do we need a perscription?

Also, one last question - does anyone know what is a relatively safe amount to bring back through customs.

Thanks a million - baclofen is my last change - have tried everything else and am desperate to give this a go after hearing all the encouraging stories on here - tried my GP but they basically told me to get lost.

                    hi,
no particular city. anywhere there is a pharmacy. I've had people bring back some from alicante and from tenerife. I got them to ask for Lioresal. Small pharmacies might only be able to give you a few packs but they'll order more for you.

I don't know how much you can legally bring in. It might be quite a lot (?5 a pack).

By the way for people in ireland who were looking for an address in N.I. check out parcelmotel.com
