I've never posted anything on the internet. What does "bump" mean?!!!! I've been lurking for about 2 months and am feeling like I've finally found people who are like me.
I am 43 years old. I've been on Celexa for 7 years and it's changed my life. It's great - I don't get irritated or depressed at the drop of a hat like I used to. I have a great relationship with my husband and daughter BUT I drink like a fish. I'm sick of it . I've always loved a drink but going on the Celexa definitely made me drink more as I don't get drunk, or hungover and crave it like mad! Sooo I'm now 40 lbs overweight and hooked on booze like never before. 3 drinks have become 7+ nightly. AAArghhhh. I hate it. And myself. I just got some Topamax and am on day 5 at 25 mg. Can I go faster than an increase of 25 mg a week? Do I have to do the other stuff on the program? Is the topa enough? Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated.
PS I went to 1 AA meeting and hated it. I would love to be able to moderate - haha - I guess all drinkers say that!!
